The smell was sweat and dirty towels and eruption of chaos hit me the second I pushed open the door of the locker room. I was greeted with the common sight of sweaty naked bodies of my teammates and silly discussion over stupid topics.

As soon as the practice session is over, people will find all the players here, in the confines of this big yet somehow small locker room that has at least more than three hundred lockers available for us.

After taking a quick shower, I walk out of the stall, wrapping my towel my waist. The boys strolled inside, laughing at something Vicky said.

"Hey, why weren't you there with us downstairs?" Their laughter came to a stop as Danish asked.

Buttoning the last button of my shirt, I replied, "You guys walk like a newly wedded bride." Walking past him, I stood in front of the mirror and ran my fingers through my hair.

"And you walk like a trained horse." He laughs. The others join him too, laughing as they made their way towards the now empty stalls. Nakul stayed behind, looking at me through the mirror. Noticing his stare, I asked, "What?"

He shook his head, "Nothing. Are you going somewhere?"

"No. Back to class." I turned around to leave, only to be held back by his grip on my arm.

"Don't you think you're forgetting something?" He raised his brow, looking at me.

I recall all the past recent events, my mind conjuring up mostly the things that happened this weekend at Shivi's house. But he doesn't need to know that. I shook my head and removed my arm from his hold. "No. All good up here." I tapped my head and walked past him.

Just as I was about to reach the door, his voice called, "The fest committee is having their event today. We are supposed to be there."

"Fuck." I cursed my luck.

After leaving from Shivi's house, all I could think about was...her. I don't understand how but there's this uncontrollable need, an urge since that morning in her bed that all I can think about is the next moment where I can see her, hear her voice, inhale her sweet scent and just be close to her.

And after that morning, I've been waiting for today so that I can finish today's practice session and go back to the class and see her.

But this stupid event. Well, not stupid exactly.

The fest committee of our university is the major and most preferred committee here, known for organizing workshops, premiere leagues, inter-collegiate competitions and top-notch events starting from their theme releases to final concerts every year.

Rehan Raichand, the star of Wonders University's football team, is the fest coordinator for this year and also my friend. We occasionally go for rides together and though we've got different sports personalities, our common love for bikes made us friends.

I turned back and faced Nakul. "At what time?"

"11." I twist my wrist and looked at my watch. 10:45. The distance between the practice court and the lecture building is too far for my liking. It would take me at least fifteen minutes to reach the other building. I threw my head back and took a deep breath.

"Fine. I'll wait outside." Dejected, I muttered and walked out of the room.

Ten minutes later, the boys and I headed to the lawn area where the event is supposed to be held. The lawn area of our university is huge and currently packed. It looks like the entire university is here including the professors as well as our dean standing in the front.
