Chapter 9

Isa-isa nang bumabalik sa hotel rooms ang mga guests until only our families left.

"Hija, welcome to our family! Officially! Sa wakas!" sabi ni Tita Anj sa akin while hugging me tightly and kissing my cheeks and forehead.

"Thank you Tita!"

"Ano ka ba naman, you can now call me Mama."

It felt familiar yet it sounds so awkward to call her Mama or to even say the word Mama. I grew up without a Mom, baka kaya ganito ang nararamdaman ko.

"Congratualtions, you two!" sabi ni Lolo nang lumapit sa amin ni Wayne. "Wayne." humarap si Lolo kay Wayne. "Please take care of Sydney. Prepare a lot of patience and understanding."

Tinapik ni Lolo si Wayne sa balikat at saka niyakap. Lolo looked at me, he smiled at me and hold my hand.

"Thank you, apo!" he said and hugged me. "You enjoy two enjoy your wedding day." sabi ni Lolo sa amin ni Wayne. "I will sleep early and leave tomorrow for my operation at Singapore." sabi ni Lolo.

He kissed me on my forehead and smiled at us bago siya umalis para pumunta sa kwarto niya. Ate Sydel who is wearing a rust color gown and Ate Sygourney who is wearing a moss green gown also told me that they will be going back to their rooms.

"Congratulations!" bati ni Ate Syg sa amin ni Wayne.

It was just Wayne and I that were left at the reception area; Tito Philip and Tita Anj went to their rooms already leaving just the two if us. Walang umiimik sa aming dalawa. Wayne walked and I followed him. I do not know what to do. I do not know what married people would do. Pagpasok ng hotel agad kaming hinarang ng isang lalaki na attendant.

"Good evening Ma'am, Sir... this way po." sabi ni Kuya.

We followed the attendant and he lead us at the back of the hotel where the big and private cottages are. We reached the beach front and he opened on cottage with a color gold number 8 on the door.

"Enjoy your stay, Ma'am... Sir. Congratulations!" sabi ng lalaki at umalis na matapos mabuksan ang hotel room namin at iwan kay Wayne ang key card.

The room is cold yet cozy. Naka-yellow dim lights with red roses petals on the bed na naka-heart shape. All of the gifts for us were already there inside the room and there is a terrace leading to the beach. This cottage looks like the one in Twilight where Edward and Bella did their— OH WAIT! That is what after the wedding. THE HONEYMOON!

When I realized it. I immediately had a mini panic attack. I tried to calm myself and sat on the bed with white sheets and red rose petals on it.

"I can sleep on the couch." Wayne said. He maybe felt that I was uncomfortable.

He sat on the white couch that can be extended into a bed. I went inside the bathroom and tried undress myself since I wanted to take a bath. But unfortunately, I cannot unzip my back. Ano ba ang gagawin ko dito? I tried positions, I tried to reach it but I really can't reach it. I looked at the mirror to make it easy but I can't. Lumapit si Wayne sa likod ko at hinawakan ang zipper at ang gown na suot ko. Hinawi ko ang buhok na naka-lugay at inilagay sa unahan. I could feel his breathe on my neck, it is so warm.

"T-thanks!" nauutal kong sabi nang ma-unzip niya ang damit kong suot.

Dali-dali kong hinawakan ang damit ko para hindi lumaglag at lumantad ang katawan ko sa harap niya. Dali-dali rin akong pumasok sa loob ng comfort room para mag-ayos ng sarili. I opened the faucet at the tub and went in. I cleaned my body dahil kahit naman nasa dagat kami ay nanlagkit pa rin ako. I carefully and thoroughly removed my make-up. Ayoko talaga nang may make-up even if the stylist used high-end products. I went out the tub after 30 minutes and dried myself. I was wearing a white bath robe and do my skin care in front of the mirror. I usually double cleanse if I put a make-up on.

So I use oil-based cleanser and a water-based cleanser after removing my make-up. Then I use toner, face serum, eye cream a retinol and lastly a moisturizer. It feels so refreshing!

Pumunta ako sa walk-in closet to see clothes that I could wear tonight and all of it is see through or just undies. WHAT THE HECK IS THIS? Is this what married women used after the wedding? Iniisip ko pa lang na may mangyayari sa amin ni Wayne kinikilabutan na ako. NO WAY!

I just pick a white satin night gown. Mukhang ito na ang pinaka-matino sa lahat. Straight cut lang at spaghetti strap. But at least this is more decent than the other clothes in here.

Pag-labas ko ng comfort room, naka-sandal si Wayne sa headboard ng kama at nagce-cellphone. Naka-boxers shorts siya ng itim na Calvin Klein and just wearing only a white sando. Napatigil siya nang makita ako at tinitigan ako dahan-dahan mula ulo hanggang paa.

"What the heck are you looking at?" tanong ko.

"Nothing." sagot niya at tumayo.

Naka-sando at boxers lang siya pero para siyang model ng undies. Tiningnan ko rin siya pa simple mula ulo hanggang paa, at medyo bumagal nang tumapat sa naka-umbok na bahagi ng katawan niya. WHAT THE HECK AM I LOOKING AT? Is that a bulge? Lumunok ako at iniwas ang tingin bago pa mag-simulang mag-imagine ang utak ko.

"I might melt, stop staring at me." then he smirked and went inside the comfort room.

Parang biglang uminit ang mukha ko nang mapakinggan ko ang sinabi ni Wayne. He knows that I am looking at him? Gosh! What am I doing?

So I got curious sa mga gifts sa amin ni Wayne. After combing my long hair, I went to the gifts and get the small ones.

This one is from Sofia, Erika and Pauline. It is a medium sized box. Siguro para sa akin lang ito. I am touched that they gave me a gift. I even set-up my phone into video settings to capture the moments of gift unboxing. I opened it carefully not to ruin the paper. Inopened the box and got my face red nang makita ko kung ano ang laman ng box.
