♱ FUNNEH'S POV ♱

I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as the sound of those footsteps grew louder. There was no time to think, no time to waste. I yanked Alec toward the rows of tables, hoping we could hide under one of them. Everyone scattered like flies, finding their own hiding spots.

Evelyn ducked behind the counter where the lunch trays were stacked, Gold and Kyran squeezed into a corner near the vending machines, senpai, aly and valerie crouched low behind a bench.

Felicia, as stubborn as ever, stood near the door. "I'm not hiding like some scaredy-cat," she huffed. "This is ridiculous."

"Felicia, get down!" Alec hissed, eyes wide with fear.

But before she could argue, the cafeteria doors creaked. Slowly, agonizingly, they swung open.

The rusty pipe scraping against the ground echoed through the room, sending chills down my spine. A dark, shadowy figure loomed at the entrance, its breath heavy and slow. The room felt like it was closing in around us.

Felicia, refusing to move, stood her ground, her arms crossed defiantly. "You're not scaring me, freak," she muttered under her breath.

The figure stepped further into the room, the scraping sound of the pipe deafening as it dragged along the floor. We watched in horror as the shadow moved closer to Felicia, who hadn't backed down an inch.

My pulse quickened. "Felicia, please," I whispered, barely audible, but she didn't flinch. Evan replied, 'it's her funeral' he said with a shrug.

The figure stopped. Silence hung in the air.

Then, without warning, the pipe swung at Felicia. She ducked just in time, the metal hitting the wall with a loud crash.

"RUN!" Alec shouted.

We scrambled out of our hiding spots, but the doors-still locked-blocked our escape.

Gold pounded on the door, her voice cracking, "They're still locked! We can't get out!"

Evan and Senpai pushed against the doors with all their strength, but they wouldn't budge.

Felicia, now on the floor after dodging the pipe, shot a glare at me. "I told you, you guys are gonna be the death of me."

I looked around frantically, searching for anything that could save us. My eyes landed on the kitchen door.

"There!" I shouted. "The kitchen! We can hide in there!"

Alec grabbed my arm, pulling me toward the door. We all rushed into the kitchen, slamming the door behind us. I locked it, my hands trembling.

The shadowy figure outside banged on the door once... twice...

And then, silence.
