A week has passed and life seemed to settle into a comfortable rhythm. I was focused on my work, enjoying my time with Martinus but not rushing into anything.Today, as I was walking through the arena, on my way back to a meeting, I noticed a small crowd gathered near a makeshift stage. I stopped and saw Marcus and Martinus sitting on stools, being interviewed. I smiled, watching from the edge of the crowd, not wanting to disturb them.
The interviewer asked them about Eurovision, their performances, and upcoming projects. But then, as I listened intently, the conversation took an unexpected turn.
"Martinus, we've noticed you've been spending quite a bit time with Mathilda, one of the journalists from the Norwegian press team. Can you tell us what's going on between you two?"- The interview asked with a sly grin.
My heart skipped a beat. I shifted nervously, waiting for Martinus' response. He glanced around, and for a brief moment, his eyes met mine across the room. There was a slight smirk on his lips before he replied: "We're friends. Good friends".
The interviewer raised an eyebrow, clearly looking for more, but before Martinus could elaborate, Marcus chimed in with a broad smile. "Mathilda's the best. She's our best friend ever and I love her to death. She's been with us through everything. She's super close with Nora as well. She's like a family to us".
I felt a warmth spread through me at Marcus' words. As the interview wrapped up, Martinus made his way over to me, flashing me that mischievous grin that always made my heart flatter.
"Hey, you free tonight?"- he asked casually. "Maybe. Why?"- I answered, biting back a smile.
"Because I want to take you out."- Martinus replied smoothly, his eyes sparkling playfully. "And where do you want to take me exactly?"- I giggled, intrigued. "You'll find out. Just trust me and dress fancy. Be ready by seven."- He said, leaning in slightly.
I shook my head, my smile widening. "Fine. It better be worth it. I don't dress up for nothing."- I teased.
Martinus chuckled, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "I promise, you'll love it".

Later that evening, I stood in front of my hotel room mirror, adjusting the hem of my elegant dress. With a final glance, I grabbed my purse and made my way downstairs.
When I stepped out of the elevator and saw Martinus waiting for me in front of the hotel, my breath caught in my throat. He looked incredible- sharp suit with perfectly styled hair.
As I approached Martinus, his eyes widened in admiration and a slow smile spread across his face. "Wow, Mathilda. You look...amazing".
"Thank you. You clean up pretty well yourself."- I smiled as I felt my cheeks warm under his gaze.
"These are for you."- He handed me a bouquet of delicate white roses, his smile softening. I accepted the flowers, my heart swelling at the thoughtful gesture. "You're full of surprises tonight".
We shared a small laugh before heading out to the car waiting for us. As we sat down, I got a notification. It was from Marcus.
Mac🩷: Have fun tonight bestie
Mac🩷: Hope you liked the flowers and his suit, I had to spend my whole afternoon styling him and searching for "perfect flowers for the perfect girl" as he said🤭
