READ BEFORE THE CHAPTER!!!⚠️⚠️⚠️
I want to say that I changed the original way of how Eurovision worked in 2024.
Originally, the first semi-final and the grand final were 5 days apart, but in this story, I made the gap between those two 2 weeks. This change is important for the plot, so it's:
•First semi-final: May 7th
•Second semi-final: May 14th
•The grand final: May 21stAlso, I decided to switch things up with who represents Norway.
Instead of the actual artist who represented Norway in 2024, I made up a fake person to do that, also for the sake of the plot!
Thanks for reading, have fun!!!

The days after first semi-final blurred together in a whirlwind of activity. With only two weeks left until the grand final, every moment felt like a precious countdown. Yet, somehow, between the back-to-back interviews, rehearsals and late-night meetings, the very person I wanted to be closest to felt farther away than ever. Let me fill you in with what happened during the last 2 weeks before the grand final.
Flashback: Two days after the semi-final
I was finishing up editing an interview, my laptop on my table as I sat alone in the press room. A glance at the clock showed it was already past noon, it was lunch time. Smiling, I closed shy laptop and decided to surprise Martinus, thinking we could steal a quiet moment together.
I found him in one of the media rooms, sitting at a table with a woman I recognised instantly- Lana, a singer representing Norway. Lana was like family friend to Marcus and Martinus. She'd been in their live since they were young, through countless music festivals and show appearances. I'd met her before, but only in passing. She had this effortless charm, a warm smile that immediately made you feel welcome.
"Hi, Lana"- I greeted her politely, then turned to Martinus with a hopeful smile. "Martinus, do you want to grab some lunch?"
Martinus looked up, giving me an apologetic smile as he ran a hand through his hair. "I promised Lana we'd catch up. We haven't had a change to talk in ages..."- he explained.
"Oh, no problem."- I said, hiding my disappointment. I felt a slight twist in my chest, but brushed it off. There was nothing to worry about. "I'll see if Marcus is free."
He looked relieved, nodding. He gave me a quick kiss before I said goodbye. I made my way down the hall, hoping to find Marcus.
End of flashback
Flashback: Three days after
That week was brutal. From early morning until late at night, I barely had a minute to breathe. Somehow, though, every time I took a break, Marcus would appear, chatting or joking around. It was a comfort, but as the days passed, I realised Martinus hadn't come to check on me once.
I told myself it was just a hectic schedule. We'd both been so caught up in preparations, but a tiny voice in the back of my mind started to whisper.
