**Author’s POV**
The days following Ekansh and Naina’s tense reunion were filled with awkward glances and silent tension that could be felt in the air. Despite the weight of their unresolved past, life went on, and so did work. The company merger kept everyone busy, and meetings were scheduled almost back-to-back, leaving little room for personal reflection.
Well, almost.
Because when it came to Ekansh and Naina, personal boundaries and professional settings seemed to blur in the most unexpected ways.
Today was no exception. The office buzzed with the usual energy, and as fate would have it, Ekansh and Naina were thrown together in yet another meeting.
However, this time, something was different. The heavy, emotional cloud of their last conversation had lifted slightly, replaced by a tension of a different kind—a lighter, almost playful undertone that neither of them could quite explain.
As they took their seats in the boardroom, their eyes met briefly. Ekansh couldn’t help but smirk when he caught her staring. Naina quickly averted her gaze, pretending to be busy flipping through her notes, but her lips twitched in a way that suggested she wasn’t as annoyed as she pretended to be.
He leaned back in his chair, arms crossed over his chest, watching her with a hint of amusement. There was something different about today. Something... lighter. Maybe it was the way her hair fell into her face when she was concentrating, or the way she bit her lip when she thought no one was watching. Whatever it was, it made him want to tease her. Just a little.

**Naina’s POV**
I could feel his eyes on me. Again.
Ekansh had a way of staring that made me feel like he could see right through me, and it was both infuriating and... distracting. I tried to focus on the meeting agenda, but all I could think about was how close we were sitting. Too close.
He was up to something, I could tell. There was a mischievous glint in his eyes that I hadn’t seen in years. Not since we were friends. Real friends.
