The night following Naina’s mother’s birthday party brought a sense of calm after the emotional storm of the previous days. For Ekansh and Naina, it was a moment to reflect on their journey and take another step toward healing. The party had ended on a hopeful note, but the true test of their renewed connection awaited them in the quiet hours of the evening.

**Naina’s POV**

Naina lay in bed, the soft glow of moonlight filtering through her window. The events of the party replayed in her mind, each moment with Ekansh feeling more significant than the last. Their conversation on the porch had been a turning point, one that left her feeling more connected and hopeful about their future.

She recalled the warmth of his hand in hers, the sincerity in his eyes, and the comfort of his presence. There was something profoundly reassuring about knowing that they were both committed to working through their issues together.

A knock on her door startled her from her thoughts. It was her mother, Mrs. Sharma.

“Can I come in, Naina?” Mrs. Sharma’s voice was soft.

“Of course, Mom,” Naina replied, sitting up in bed.

Mrs. Sharma entered and sat on the edge of Naina’s bed, her expression thoughtful. “I just wanted to check on you. The party went well, didn’t it?”

Naina nodded, a smile tugging at her lips. “Yes, it did. And thank you for everything. It was a wonderful evening.”

Mrs. Sharma’s eyes softened. “I’m glad to hear that. I also wanted to say that I’m proud of you, Naina. I know things haven’t been easy, but you’re handling them with such grace.”

Naina’s heart swelled with gratitude. “Thanks, Mom. It means a lot to hear that.”

Mrs. Sharma patted her hand gently. “Remember, whatever happens, we’re here for you. You and Ekansh both need time to heal, but you’re not alone.”

Naina felt a rush of emotion and hugged her mother. “I know, Mom. I’m really grateful for your support.”

Mrs. Sharma smiled, giving her daughter a reassuring squeeze. “Get some rest. Tomorrow is a new day.”
