**Naina’s POV**
The next few days passed in a blur, filled with family gatherings, business meetings, and endless phone calls. After our families’ lunch at the Singhania mansion, everything seemed to be moving at a breakneck pace—especially with the new venture our parents were planning together. It felt like everything was happening all at once, and at the center of it all was me and Ekansh.
I couldn’t stop thinking about our conversation on the patio, the way he had held my hand and told me to take things one day at a time. It was comforting, but at the same time, it felt like the calm before the storm. I had this nagging feeling in my gut, like something was about to change—something big.
My phone buzzed on the nightstand, pulling me out of my thoughts. I picked it up, seeing a message from Ekansh.
**Ekansh**: “Meet me at our spot. 7 PM?”
I stared at the message for a moment before typing a quick reply.
**Naina**: “I’ll be there.”

**Ekansh’s POV**
The sun was beginning to set as I stood by the lake, the cool breeze rustling the leaves around me. This place—our spot—had always been a refuge for Naina and me. Growing up, we would come here to escape the pressures of our families, to talk about everything and nothing. But now, it felt different. There was a weight to our conversations that hadn’t been there before, a depth we hadn’t acknowledged until recently.
I hadn’t seen Naina much since the lunch at my house, and I needed to talk to her. To clear the air, to figure out what this was between us and where it was going. The tension between us had always been there, but now it was impossible to ignore.
I heard footsteps behind me and turned to see Naina approaching, her hair flowing in the breeze, her eyes searching mine as she drew closer. Even in the fading light, she looked stunning.
“You’re early,” she said with a small smile, stopping a few feet away from me.
I shrugged, trying to keep things light. “I guess I couldn’t wait.”
