**Ekansh’s POV**
The week following our brunch with Riya was a mix of calm and subtle unease. While things between Naina and me felt more relaxed and open, the reality of navigating our relationship in the midst of family expectations loomed large. We had decided to take things slow, but I was aware that our families were likely still watching, waiting to see how things would unfold.
I was at the office, finishing up some work when I got a message from Naina.
**Naina**: *“Hey, can we talk later today? I have something I want to discuss.”*
I quickly typed a response.
**Ekansh**: *“Sure. How about after work? I’ll come over to your place.”*
I didn’t get a response immediately, but I knew she would be around. As I wrapped up my work, I found myself wondering what she wanted to talk about. Our relationship had been progressing smoothly, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something specific on her mind.
By the time I arrived at Naina’s house, the sky was a deep, velvety blue, streaked with hints of orange and pink as the sun set. I rang the doorbell, and Naina answered with a warm smile that made my heart skip a beat.
“Hi,” she said, stepping aside to let me in. “Come on in.”
I followed her into the living room, where she had set up a small, cozy space with cushions and a few candles. The room was softly lit, creating a warm, intimate atmosphere that made me even more curious about what she wanted to discuss.
“Everything okay?” I asked as we settled onto the cushions.
Naina looked at me, her eyes reflecting a mix of determination and nervousness. “Yes, everything’s fine. It’s just… I’ve been thinking about us and our families. I feel like we need to address something.”
I nodded, giving her my full attention. “What’s on your mind?”

**Naina’s POV**
As I looked at Ekansh, I felt a surge of nervous energy. Our relationship was in a good place, but there was something I needed to address before we went any further. I had been mulling over it for days, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that we needed to have this conversation to move forward.
