**Author’s POV**
The night after the party was a restless one for both Ekansh and Naina. Their unresolved conversation lingered in the back of their minds, the weight of their emotions pressing down on them. The gap between their hearts seemed to widen with each passing hour, as they both grappled with the uncertainty of what the future held.

**Naina’s POV**
Naina lay in bed, her mind racing through the events of the previous night. The cool breeze from the open window did little to soothe the turmoil inside her. She stared at the ceiling, the shadows dancing across the room as the streetlights flickered outside.
The conversation with Ekansh on the balcony had been intense. Each word had felt like a weighty truth that neither of them was fully prepared to confront. The fear in his eyes, the vulnerability in his voice—it had been both heartbreaking and revealing. And while she had understood his fear, her own was equally paralyzing.
She sat up abruptly, the sound of her own breath loud in the stillness of the room. The emotional walls she had so carefully constructed were beginning to crumble, leaving her exposed and raw.
A knock on the door startled her. It was her mother, Mrs. Sharma, peeking in. “Naina, are you awake?”
Naina quickly pulled herself together. “Yes, Mom. Just thinking.”
Mrs. Sharma entered, her expression a mix of concern and motherly warmth. She sat down beside Naina, her hand gently resting on her daughter's shoulder. “I heard about the party last night. You seemed a bit off. Is everything okay?”
Naina sighed, her heart heavy. “I don’t know, Mom. I feel like I’m on the edge of something, but I’m not sure what it is.”
Mrs. Sharma’s eyes softened. “It’s okay to feel that way. Sometimes, we need to face our fears head-on to understand what’s really going on in our hearts.”
Naina nodded, appreciating her mother’s words of wisdom. “I just don’t want to make things worse. I want to fix things with Ekansh, but I don’t know how.”
