**Author’s POV**
The days after Naina's family meeting were filled with an undercurrent of tension she couldn’t quite shake. Her concern for Priya weighed on her, though she managed to compartmentalize it for the most part, focusing on work and trying to maintain her usual composure. But every time her phone buzzed, her heart would leap, fearing more bad news.
In the office, Naina and Ekansh continued to work closely on the project. There was an undeniable sense of teamwork between them, but there was also an unspoken awareness of the conversations they hadn’t yet finished. The dance between their unresolved feelings and their growing closeness felt like a balancing act neither of them wanted to disturb.
The pitch was now only a couple of days away, and the pressure was beginning to mount. The entire office was buzzing with last-minute preparations, everyone scrambling to ensure that every detail was flawless. Naina and Ekansh had spent countless hours perfecting their presentation, and yet, there was still so much to do.

**Naina’s POV**
I could feel the tension rising as the pitch approached. It was like this heavy cloud hovering over everything, making every little thing feel like a bigger deal than it actually was. We had worked hard, but the more time passed, the more anxious I became about everything that could go wrong.
Ekansh was his usual calm, collected self, and I envied how he could seem so composed under pressure. I, on the other hand, was fraying at the edges.
We were in the conference room going over the final slides when I received another text from my mom.
**"How's work? Let me know when you're free to talk about Priya's situation again."**
I tried to ignore the growing lump in my throat as I typed a quick reply, telling her I’d call later. This wasn’t the time to let my emotions get the best of me. Not with so much on the line.
“You okay?” Ekansh asked, his voice gentle as he noticed me staring at my phone for a beat too long.
“Yeah, just some family stuff,” I replied, hoping he wouldn’t press further. I didn’t want to burden him with it, especially not now.
