•Prologue•

In 1452

The wind blowed slow,caressing the windows and a short breeze of air entered inside,giving the queen a short tremble.She was sitting on a red couch,with a long beige dress on her.She was drinking some tea in a pot and with her free hand,she flutured the like-yellow transparent pages of the book.As she saw the cold air that entered the room,she stood up,walking across the window and closed the wine red curtains.Thankuly of it,she got back to what she was doing,but a knock on the door maked her stop,looking at who it was.An tall man entered and bent in front of the queen.

"My queen,are you sure you are ready for this ball to get started?I mean,what if our child is getting kidnapped by someone?"The man was no one but the king.

"I'm sure all will be alright,trust me.That witch didn't come here in about 100 years.And,our kingdom needs to know who will be the next on the throne,after Yeonjun."The queen didn't take her gaze away from the king,who looked a bit instabile about her decision.

"Sure,then.The ball is going to be tomorrow,in the evening."The king said before heading to the exit room door,and the queen smiled.

All the Kingdom people started to make their appearance at the evening ball.Thousands of people we're there and ofcourse,the royal family,who was ready to make their appearance too,at the end,when the announcement will be get for the people.

The music started playing and all the guest started to walts with their respective partener.The atmosphere was warm and happy,with the floor of the room ball,full with sounds of the steps maked by the guests shoes.Outside,the moon was shining on the dark,empty sky,and the whisper of the moving plants in the blow of the wind could be heard.Even there,a symphony by nature was giving pleasure and peaceful vibes to anyone who dare to listen to it.

The queen was staying at her balcony,looking in the like-void atmosphere that entered the entire quiet room.The peace in her mind was token when the king opened the door,entering the room.With a short glare,he murmured as he approached next to her.

"It's time..."

As the queen nodded,the royals walked between the hall walls,straight to the room where the ball was organized.Soon,they reached the entering door, and the king put his palm on the door handle,twisting it.All the guests stopped from dancing and turned their glares at the royals,who slowly walked side by side,heading to sat on the ball thrones.The guests applaused at the two,and then, the king stood up from his seat,straightened his hand to make the noise stop.He cleared his troat.

"Ladies and gentlemen!I,the king of the Ice Kingdom,I want to make a special announcement!"He stopped,seeing all the people turned their heads to hear his words.

"All of you know,that the Ice Kingdom already have a prince,our son,Choi Yeonjun.Two days ago,the queen of the Ice Kingdom gave birth to another child.In about 20 years,Choi Yeonjun will be my successor,and he will take over my duties as the new king of our Kingdom."

The guests started to applause,and the queen stood up too from her seat and walked next to the king,giving a non-expresion short glare.She took a deep breath,ready to speak.

"Please welcome the prince of the Ice Kingdom,Choi Beomgyu!"

Near thrones,a tiny bed was suspended near,and the queen took the baby up from it,showing the child to the guests,who started acclaimed and cheered to the newborn.

Suddenly,a dark shadow was forming in the center of the room,who started to fill with screams of fear and confusion.A dark creature was staying in the shadow,who started to get more visible.The king widened his eyes,knowing who it was.Soon,the creature could be visible.A witch.A evil laugh left her mouth.The witch was dressed in a long,black dress,and the sleeves were curved at the edges.But at face,it seems to look like a evil queen.She looked at the guests and turned toward to face the royals,who looked terrorized by her presence.With a evil smile,words started to leave her mouth.

"A ball?And I wasn't invited?..."

The guards straightened their swords towards the witch,protecting the royal family.But with a move of her finger,the guards fell on the floor,like someone was suffocating them.The king remains without words.

"W-what do you want from us?!"

The witch raised a brown,smirking.

"What I want?"She started laughing hard,and that was making the royal family confused."Listen,all of you!"

More guards were coming, but the witch had already destroyed them before they could do something.She looked behind her and saw the guest terrified.Moving back, she raised her voice so that her words will be heard by anyone in the ball.The royals kept glaring at her without knowing what to do but stay.With a look at the baby in the queen's arms,she smirked before speaking.

"Slowly,The Ice Kingdom will go down.The prince will grow in peace. But!On his 20th anniversary,something will happen..."The witch made a pause before continuing."...He will kiss someone...fall asleep... And then,he will never wake up.He will sleep to death!"

The room filled with gasps all around.The queen felt on her knees with her child in her arms,crying exasperated and screamed in agony.

"No!Please!"

The king rushed to hug his wife after he stood up and glared at the witch.

"Also!When the prince fell asleep,an ice storm will start to destroy in time your precious Kingdom.The atmosphere will be that cold,that all of the people will die!"The witch continued.

The witch started disappearing without an anny trance.On that moment,a lightning split the dark-blue sky,and a storm filled the entire atmosphere.The queen screamed in anger and frustration,without knowing what to do now.The witch's curses are extremely dangerous and mortal,and no one could stop them from being fulfilled.The king stood in front of his wife,hugged her and some words left his mouth in trying to confort her.

"We will do something about it...We will take care of him,I promise..."
