•Chapter XVI:The Ice Rose•

We're finally here...Taehyun whispered to himself.

After a long path full of dangers,they finally reached the end of it.The Witch Palace.Taehyun started to think if the witch was the same who cursed the Ice Kingdom family years ago.If it was,they needed to be careful.

The prince didn't move,still glaring around the atmosphere.Kai observed the prince and got closer to him,snaping his fingers.Taehyun immediately responded and shook his head.

Soobin and Yuqi looked at him confused,and Taehyun just smiled awkwardly.Kai rolled his eyes before speaking.

"Come on,we don't have too much time left."

"But what about making a plan before going there?"Soobin said after Kai,who started to get down from the hill.

The servant stopped,glaring at him.

"Oh right.Sorry."

The group stayed together on the ground,trying to invent a good strategy.After all,they weren't going there without a plan.Or did they?

"First,the frozen lake is a problem.It can break under us if we make a wrong move."Soobin looked at Yuqi, and she nodded.

"I saw that there was a bridge,so I guess we can cross it."Kai spoke.

"But what about the guards?"All of them widened their eyes after hearing Taehyun's question.

All of them stayed still,trying to make up an idea.But sadly,no one had it.An idea appeared in Yuqi's head.

"I have an idea!"

She got closer to the boys and whispered something to them.The group nodded.

"Let's do this."Taehyun said, clenching his fist.

"Why did you let them go!?"

A female voice shouted in front of Yeonjun.It was his mother.

A few minutes ago,their parents started to discover where the prince and the servants were.So she asked Yeonjun.Knowing that he couldn't hide anymore,he revealed the reason for their dissparition.

The queen was extremely angry.She ordered the knights to search everywhere in the Kingdom,but the queen knowed that they had already left,going on a dangerous path,into the forest.

Yeonjun didn't feel guilty or insecure.He was just worried about their friends,who were outside from about two days.

Beomgyu's condition got even worse.His hands were covered in ice and almost stopped breathing.From time in time,Yeonjun could hear that the prince was struggling to breathe.His mother got even worried.

In the room,the atmosphere got colder too.From the outside,the palace completely froze.The stairs were slippery,and all the exits,even the window, were blocked by the thick layer of ice.That means that the royals were stuck inside the palace.

Yeonjun and his mother were staying near Beomgyu.The queen started again to cry,blaming herself for not caring all this time of him.Yeonjun knowed that his mother was wrong.Since he was little,his mother cared and loved him with all of her heart.

Beomgyu will be alright.That was what the king thought at that moment. We need to resist a little more.
The queen sniffed,rubbing her tears from the cheek.Yeonjun decided that it was a good moment to confort her.He put his hand on his mother's shoulder.

"Don't worry,everything will be alright... We got this."

"No,Yeonjun,you're wrong!The curse can not be broken,even how hard you try to find a solution for it."
