•Chapter VI:Breaking the rules•

The morning sunlight caressed Beomgyu's cheek,softly.He woke up,blinking heavily and tiredly. He got up,sitting on the bed,looking around.What the...Beomgyu felt something heavy beside him.Carefully,he glared,seeing a sleepy Taehyun.His cheeks immediately got red.I forgot that he is sleeping with me now...Signing,he lay back on the bed,with his eyes closed,trying to fall asleep again.Beomgyu stopped breathing in shock.A hand was wrapped around his waist.Taehyun.Beomgyu struggled to exit from the younger prince's hold,but without succes.He felt embarrassed about the position they were in.

He needed to wake him up.

"T-Taehyun..."Beomgyu's voice was trembling.

"Five minutes..."The prince answered,thighing the grip over Beomgyu.

That made the older prince's stomach turn upside down.

"T-Taehyun.L-let go of m-me..."

Groaning,Taehyun widened his eyes,realising what he was doing.He quickly got up while apologizing.

"Oh god,I'm so sorry,Prince Beomgyu!I-I didn't know what I was doing!I'm sorry.I'm sorry.It will never happen again - "

"Chill.I forgive you,don't worry."Beomgyu smiled."You seemed to be sleeping well.It's that usual for you?"

"Um.I kind of feel cold at night,and you were warm..."

Beomgyu raised a brown,and they both blushed.

"Never mind,let's just get ready for breakfast."

Days later...

It only remains a few days for Beomgyu's birthday,and the royals began to be desperate.The prince didn't know why,but he thought that it was only boring stuff.Beomgyu was really bored,staying in his room,reading a book on the bed.Unlike Taehyun,who just was taking a nap.Some thoughts started to fill Beomgyu's head and suddenly,an idea popped in his mind,smirking.

"Taehyun?..."Beomgyu whispered to the younger prince,seeing if he was awake.

And for his surprise,he was.

"Yes?..."Taehyun answered in a raspy voice.

"Do you ever want to see how the Ice Kingdom town looks like?..."

Taehyun looked down,trying to decipher what the older was trying to say.

"Yes,but you know we can't leave the palace."

"What if I told you... that I did it many times?"

"You?!You leaved the palace?Without anyone knowing?"The younger prince was surprised."How?"

"Just tell me..."Beomgyu glared at Taehyun's beautiful dark eyes without expressions."Do you want to come with me in the town tonight?..."

Taehyun remained confused and a bit shocked.How can he do all of those things without anyone noticing?Does the palace have secrets corridors to the outside?Taehyun thoughts were interrupted by Beomgyu's question.

"So?"

Taehyun looked a bit derutated, but then he answered.

"Okay.I'm in."

Beomgyu chuckled, exited, and ready for the night to come.But then,he realized that they weren't alone.The door was opened large,and Beomgyu noticed some threads of white hair,staying at the edge of the door.Kai.Taehyun's assistant heard the entire conversation.How am I going to explain it to him?

Taehyun glared at Beomgyu, questioned.

"Is everything alright?..."

Beomgyu ignored the younger's question,and with a glare at the opened door,he said...

"Kai,we know you are there,show yourself!"

"Who?Kai is here?"Taehyun didn't know what was happening, but he just stayed still.

After some seconds,Kai showed up in front of the two,with a pouted face.All the three of them looked at each other,without saying anything,but then Kai broke the silence.

"Are you two crazy?!Do you want to go to the town in the middle of the night,when everyone's sleeping,and without permission?!"

"Look,Kai,we - "

"Take me with you!"Taehyun couldn't finish because Kai's words cut him off.

The prince's looked confused at the Earth Kingdom assistant.

"If you want..."Kai continues,glaring at the ground with his hand at the back.

"We're sorry... but I don't think it is a good idea for you to come with us..."Beomgyu said.

"And it is not a good idea of you two going alone."Kai added.

"We are not alone,we have each other,plus we aren't going to miss very much,just one or two hours."Taehyun was speaking convicable.

Kai signed disappointed.

"I will not tell anyone,but please.Be careful and come back safe."

"We will."Beomgyu promised.

The night finally came,bringing back the dark sky sprinkled with little bright dots and the peaceful silence.Only the wind,who caressed the windows, was active,but in rest,the entire atmosphere was like sleeping.On the dark-blue sky,the half-moon could be seen shining like a fluorescent natural light.

"Are you ready?"Beomgyu questioned, looking left and right between the corridors,to make sure that no one was watching.

"Yes,let's go."

The two of them quietly steeped out of their dorm,and with little steps, they moved silently.Taehyun noticed that at night,the palace looked totally different than at the day.No light could be seen,illuminating the halls.Only the light from the moon was a hope to see in the dark.And the cold was increasing from minute to minute and Taehyun's teeth flinched.Beomgyu could feel the younger prince trembling.Right.He's not used to it.He got off his warm coat,giving it to Taehyun.

"Take this."Beomgyu whispered.

"But,it's yours.You're not gonna be cold?"

"You need it more than me.Just take it."

Taehyun did as he was told.He put the coat on himself, and his body warmed constantly.The two continued to walk at the end of a hall with a desk near it.Taehyun thought that it was a joke,but then,Beomgyu bent a little down,and moved the table how silent he could,revealing a tunnel.Taehyun's eyes widened.Wow.Beomgyu entered first,then flutured his hand,in a sign to Taehyun to follow him.The tunnel was a little tight,covered in grey.They walked carefully and finally,they reached the end.

At the end of it,the snow started to appear,and Taehyun knowed that they were in the garden.With a quick look around.Beomgyu pulled Taehyun by the wrist.

"Come."

Beomgyu did let go of Taehyun's arm, and that made Taehyun heart beat fast.They reached a tall gate,guarded by guards.Taehyun stomach turned upside down,after seeing them.But Beomgyu didn't got on that way,instead,they reached to a bush.Beomgyu moved the leaves,making a head sigh to Taehyun to walk in.Insecure,Taehyun entered,and then he realized that he arrived outside of the palace.Beomgyu was there too.

Beomgyu smirked at the younger,and they started to walk straight on a road.In front of them,millions of houses could be spotted at each corner.The town was really beautiful at night,and Taehyun felt free.

They started to explore the entire town in completely silent,carefully not to drag attention.They spent an hour playing in the snow,laughing at each other.

"So this is what it feels like to be free,"Taehyun murmured.

"Do you like it?"Beomgyu asked, and the other prince just nodded.

"I love it!"

One hour transformed in two, and they both needed to get back before sunrise.Of course, people are going to ask them questions like,'Did you sleep last night?',but they both didn't care.After all,a little freedom doesn't hurt,right?
