•Chapter XII:Getting ready for the mission•

In the room was pretty quiet though.Only the sound of objects that Taehyun moved around,putting them into a small,brown bag,with some traditional plant details can be heard.

The young prince needed to hurry.The sun had already setted,so the night would come soon.He felt a little terrified.To escape in the middle of the night,without anyone noticing,and with a mysterious map that can get him in the wrong way,all of these only to find a rare rose,wasn't his cup of tea.

But Taehyun knowed that all of those happened because of him.It was his fault.Yeonjun told him a million of times,that it wasn't,but deep in his heart,something felt wrong.

Taehyun almost finished packing all his stuff.He needed to get going in some few minutes.At that moment,Yeonjun was walking in,saluting the prince.

"It is time.Are you ready?"

Taehyun turned his head to face the older,sighing,before answering.

"I am a bit...terrified about this... We might die if something goes wrong..."

Yeonjun headed towards the prince,benting and sat near him,on the floor.

"I am sure everything will be alright.You guys are strong enough to defeat all the bad in this world."

"But what if we find the rose,and it will doesn't work?"

"It is important that we've tried.We need to hope for the best."

Taehyun signed again,nodding.

Yeonjun got up and straightened his hand to help the other to get up.Taehyun accepted,smiling shyly.Yeonjun glared a few moments before speaking.

"Come with me."

The older led Taehyun between the walls of the halls.For some reason,the atmosphere was getting even colder,and the younger prince hated it.He knowed that outside was even colder.

Yeonjun stopped,standing near a door, putting his hand on the door handle.Taehyun froze after realising where Yeonjun was leading him.To Beomgyu's room.

He took a few steps back and shook his head desperately.The memory when the two kissed returned back to his mind.He breathed heavily and lost his balance.Yeonjun ran and cathed him before the prince could fell.

"Are you okay?"Yeonjun asked, worried.

"N-no."Taehyun whispered when he found his balance again."I am not going there."

"But why?The others are waiting."

"Beomgyu is in there!I don't want to see him ever again!"Taehyun cried out, and Yeonjun put his hand on the prince mouth,making him shut.

"Shh... You are going to wake up everyone if you are going to continue this."

"Can't we just escape from the exit?..."

"And being caught by the guards?No thank you.You are going to enter if you do or don't want."

"Don't you hear your parents?I am ain't allowed anymore to see Beomgyu!"

"I am the king now.So,just enter."

Yeonjun didn't wait for Taehyun's reply,picking him by the back,and pushed him to enter the room.Taehyun closed tightly his eyes,hoping to avoid the ice prince.

But something made him open his eyes.Slowly,he tried to descifrate what happened.He looked around the room for a moment.Kai was finishing packing his stuff,and Soobin was sitting on a chair,next to a figure.It was Beomgyu.

Taehyun couldn't resist and looked away.But after some seconds,he decided to confront it.He fixed his glare on the sleeping prince.Beomgyu's black,long hair was now looking a bit grey.His skin tone was a shade of erased-pink to white,and his lips,who were dark pink,were now looking extremely erased,colored with a light shade of pink.

Beomgyu was covered with three blankets.Soobin was glaring at him with sad eyes,expressing none emotions.With short steps,he approached the servant and sat on a chair near him.

"Beomgyu..."Taehyun whispered under his breath,not breaking the contact with the Ice prince.

"I hope it will work if we succeed in finding the 'Ice Rose'..."Soobin said without looking at Taehyun.

Kai got up from what he was doing and looked at Yeonjun,then at the rest,with a serious face.He got closer to the two.

"Are you ready?..."

Taehyun and Soobin glared at Kai,then nodded.Taehyun looked at Beomgyu for the last time before grabbing the prince's hand.Ouch.He scrunched his nose,because of the touch.Beomgyu's hand was cold,but he didn't minded it.With his thumb,he caressed his hand before leaning towards Beomgyu's face and planted a kiss on his forehead.

Yeonjun and the rest just looked at the scene.The king smiled at Taehyun's affection he shared with his brother.He knowed that it could be the last time for Taehyun to see Beomgyu.The trip was verry dangerous,but he knowed that the boys will succed.

"Don't worry,love,we will heal you."Taehyun said as he got up from the chair and headed towards the others."Let's go."

Yeonjun tied a rope to the bed.He picked the rest of it,opened the window,and trowed it outside.Kai picked out of the window before dragging himself back.Taehyun stepped forward,ready to go first.

"Take care,and don't forget to get back."Yeonjun's words faded, and Taehyun understood his feelings.

"Don't worry,we will."Soobin answered,smiling.

"Take care of Beomgyu."Kai added, and Yeonjun nodded.

Taehyun glared again at Beomgyu before getting down,out of the window,taking tight the rope,carefully not to fall.He successfully ended on the ground safely.Soobin decided to go next.

Happily,he got down safety,too,and walked near Taehyun.Kai was a bit scared at first.But he knowed that he needed to go.Giving himself courage,he leaned towards the rope and carefully got down,ending on the white-iced grass.He smiled awkwardly at the two,who were waiting for him.

"Let's get going."Soobin said and started to walk slowly,with Taehyun and Kai behind his back.

They walked slowly,carefully not to dragg attention.Taehyun could hear the breathing of his friends and see his iced breath that disappeared in the cloudy sky.Outside was even colder that inside.

A few minutes later,everything was fine,but when they were so close to escape,a guard could be seen coming.The three immediately hid behind a tree and a bush. Kai was nervous.

"How to pass without getting caught?"Kai asked,lowering his tone.

Soobin didn't answer,but Taehyun had an idea.

"Follow me."

The two followed the prince to a bush wall.Soobin and Kai looked confused at each other.

"Are you okay?Why did you lead us to a dead end?"

Taehyun didn't bother attention to Soobin's question, and with all of his force,he pushed the bush.Memories came back to his mind.He used to escape from the palace with Beomgyu,and on that day,he showed the perfect route without getting caught by the guards.Kai and Soobin's jaw dropped.

"How about we stop talking and escape once."Taehyun said,smirking.

Soobin and Kai carefully got on the other side,revealing a wide,snowy forest.The last one was Taehyun,who showed up soon,walking near the two.Kai seems to be extremely happy and nervous at the same time.He never tried to escape in his life,so it was new to him.

Soobin breathed heavily and glared in the void.A long white carpet straightened in front of his eyes,covering all the normal,grassy ground.The wind started to blow heavily,and Kai flinched for a bit,closing his eyes because of it.Taehyun got some steps forward before looking back at the two.

"We don't have too much time,let's get going."
