•Chapter XXI:On the way back•

Soobin glared around the atmosphere.The servant really missed seeing the sunny sky.With Taehyun,he finally killed the witch.The bad stuff was all over.Now,they needed to get back to the palace to heal Beomgyu,Yeonjun's brother.

But only a single thing made him sad.Their friend,who helped the three to find the rose,Yuqi was now resting in heaven.Soobin will never forget her warm smile and crazy plans to get out of the problems.He will miss her.

Taehyun breathed out after realising that things turned back to normal.Now,the time was getting limited because Beomgyu was still sleeping until death.The prince widened his eyes and forcely got up.

Turning his gaze towards him,Soobin fastly rushed and helped the prince.

"Slowly..."The servant whispered under his breath, and the prince nodded.

After getting up,Taehyun glared around the room.Something made him flinch.A tall ice sculpture catched his eye.Kai.

The young servant was still frozen, and it seemed like it was melting as the sun covered it.The two walked closely,and they were watching sadly his friend melting.

"He was a good friend...I. feel sad to leave him like this..."Soobin murmured.

"Sleep well,Kai..."Taehyun forced up a smile,glaring at the servant's frozen face."We couldn't do it without you..."

The two lay down on the floor, exhausted by the effort from the fight.Taehyun's eyes were glued on the little translucency dots of water that were rolling on the ground from the frozen boy.Soobin was sniffing and a tear escaped from his eye.Taehyun knowed the sentiment.Kai was one of the best friend he ever met.He was a sweet and caring person who would never give up,even how hard the moment is.

But something felt different.Taehyun noticed something was different,looking closely at the boy.As the ice was dripping from him,under it, it could be spot skin.The prince's eyes widened after realising something.

Kai is alive!

Indeed,Soobin observed too and quickly stood up.Suddently,a warm light covered the ice,melting it completely.Kai breathed as he fell on the floor with his eyes closed.The boys turned their gaze toward him.

"Kai?..."

The boy was looking like it heard Soobin's question.Groaning,Kai,opened his eyes,turning to face his friends.A bright smile escaped from his mouth.

"We did it?..."He asked,more like a whisper.

Taehyun nodded desperately,not believing his eyes, too.They really did it.All the three of them pulled into each other and hugged.
Breaking the hug,Soobin got up.His face turned serious.

"Come on,we don't have too much time left..."

"We need to get back."Kai said, struggling to get up.

In Taehyun's mind was the whole path that they together struggled to get to the end, and finding the rose.He hoped that they wouldn't have to get on the same path again.It will be an eternity,and Beomgyu need that rose now.

"If we go now,perhaps we will get back to the palace tomorrow."Soobin said.

"But what about the creatures,like wolfs?"Kai fliched,thinking about the wound he got after fighting against the creatures.

"We have weapons,we will fight if something happens."Soobin answered.

"Too bad we don't have some horses.It will double our time."Taehyun glared down.

Kai was thinking about something.He remembered that on their path,he spot near the witch's palace a stable.And where are stables,it needed to be horses too.

"Hey!I have an idea!"

Soobin and Taehyun both froze and turned their gaze towards the younger,who was jumping excited.

"Follow me."

The two looked at each other confused,as starting to follow the young servant.

Kai led them down a hill,far away from the palace.The prince started to feel a little insecure about it.What is the servant planning?A lot of suggestions appeared in his mind.

Maybe it is just a short path that he discovered to get back to the palace faster.

They kept walking until something could be seen with a free eye in front of them.A big construction,more like a house, was standing in front of them.A stinky and familiar smell flooded in Taehyun's nose.A noise from an animal could be heard from the inside.

"A stable!Good job, Kai!"

Kai just smiled at Soobin's words,then started to run towards the construction.Inside, it was a little warmer than the outside.Taehyun could easily spot some horses.

"I think they don't need these horses anymore,right?"

Taehyun laughed after hearing Kai's funny question.He knowed what the servant was referring to.Soobin just opened a stable door and picked a black horse with curly black hair.

"Everyone!Get one,and let's get going!"

Taehyun fixed his glare towards a beautiful white horse.He put on it a saddle and a harness.With effort,he got up on the horse,ready to go.Soobin nodded and did the same,climbing on his black one.Kai was struggling to get on a chestnut brown one,but successfully he climbed on it.

Soobin nodded at the two after picking the harness in his hands,guiding the horse to turn to the exit door.A rafale from the wind got inside,making the horse step back.But Soobin calmed it down,before thighening his hands on the harness.

Taehyun looked at the atmosphere in front of him for the last time before pulling thight the harness.Kai did the same move,clearing his troat.

With a move of his head,Soobin turned back to face his friends.Taehyun and Kai nodded, furrowing their brows.

Fixing his glare on the horse and the road,he moved the harness with his hands,and the animal moved towards the exit door.The horse made a sound before starting trotting, then galloping.

Taehyun closed his after after meeting the bright light that was shining into his eyes.

Now, the last thing they needed to do is to get back at the palace to save Beomgyu,his loved one,from the sleeping curse.The prince had a lot of hope because they walked a lot and fight like no one did in this mission.And after all,they did it.

Don't worry,Beomgyu.We are coming!

Another chapter for today,because I still felt sad for not turning serious about this book.
