Making Decisions.
Zianna woke up with one thing in her mind and that was to look for another place to live before her brother and his wife came back from their honeymoon.
She didn't want to continue living in a house that belonged to her brother and someday his mother would come to know where Zianna had been staying and who she had been with.
The memories Zianna remembers were the taunts, curses and abusive words that came from Nadia ever since she arrived at that house.
She got up from the bed and went to the bathroom to make Wudhu for the Fajr prayers.
Prayers were the only thing that kept Zianna from breaking down and couldn't afford to do that.
But in her heart, Zianna knew that her brother wouldn't let her leave and stay alone in an apartment. Tayyal would rather sacrifice his happiness for his sisters.
"Ya Allah, Guide me to make the right decision un my life. I have decided that it is better for me to get treatment rather than to let myself die as I wanted to."
Zianna prayed Fajr intending to get an answer to her Dua and if she was meant to stay in Tayyal's house, she would but if she wasn't meant to stay, she would have to leave.
Zianna finished her prayer, and that's when her phone started ringing. She got up from her prayer mat and walked towards the bedside drawer where her phone was.
The caller was none other than her brother Tayyal and it was also a video call.
She quickly answered it with a smile as she didn't want her brother and sister-in-law to worry.
"Asalam Aleikum, Tay and Zoya. How are you doing?" She greeted them, smiling.
"Waleikum salaam. Alhamdulilah we are good. We called because we wanted to tell you that we will be home in a week, in shaa Allah," Zoya said, surprising her.
"A week? But you guys were supposed to stay there for a month. Did something happen?" Zianna asked. "Zo, tell me the truth. Did Tay tell you to cut the trip short?" she asked her sister-in-law.
"Seriously? Why would you think that of your brother, Zian?"
"Zo, you didn't answer my question? Is he forcing you to come back early?" Zianna asked again ignoring her brother's question.
"Zianna, no he didn't do anything. We missed you, that's why are coming home. And it was better for us to come home because we didnt wnat you to feel alone..."
"Guys, who says I am alone? Dalia will visit in a few hours and then we will cook breakfast. And I will need to go to the office in a few days. You dont need to cut your honeymoon short because of me," Zianna said.
"We know but our minds are made. Plus, I was starting to get bored here. Seeing the face everyday..."
Tayyal looked at his wife with an amused look on his face when she said those words.
"Zian, see what I go through. She is tired of seeing my face. At least when I get back, I will see your face and not hers," Tayyal says with a hint of a smile.
"Guys, I know what you are doing but also remember that you two are newly married. And you need time for each other."
"I know that Zia. I was just teasing him. Plus, I bought a few gifts for you and your boss..."
"What do you mean YOU? It is We bought them together. Don't take all the credit, Zo," Tayyal says interrupting his wife.
This statement made the girls laugh after seeing Tayyal's face.
"She didnt take the credit, Tay. She wnated to see your reaction," Zianna says smiling.
"I know that. I just wanted to see you laugh, Zian. I know that sometimes you feel like giving up. Dont do it."
Zianna was surprised to know that Tayyal could read her emotions even if she had faked them.
"I wont give up, Tay and thank you for caring..."
"You don't need to thank me all the time. But no we need to go. I promised Zoya I would take her to the store to buy something," Tayyal said.
"And remember Zianna, you will always be my sister no matter what. You can talk to me about anything and everything. Take care of yourself. We love you."
After hanging up the call, Zianna took a deep breath and knew what to do about her current situation.
"I guess I got my answer when Tay called. I will stay untill it is time for me to leave. But first I need to get better in my treatment."
Never decide your future when you are angry, sad or even happy. Decide it when you are calm and collected with your thoughts.
