"I have a medical condition, Tayyal..."
Azhar kept looking at the bucket list that he copied from Zianna. Before asking anyone, he needed to know what he read online.
"Azhar, come and have dinner," his mother calls out to him, but upon not receiving a reply, Hayat walks in to find her son staring at a piece of paper.
She softly shook his shoulder making him drop the paper on the floor.
"I am sorry, Mamma. I didn't hear you," Azhar apologizes to her.
"It seems that you were busy with a case, that was so important more than dinner, right?" His mother asks.
Azhar picked the paper from the floor and turned to face Hayat.
"What is a bucket-list?" Azhar asked his Mamma. He wanted to make sure that his research on the internet was accurate.
As a lawyer, he always trusted evidence more than suspicions. Hayat looked at her face worriedly.
"No, Mamma. It isn't for me, its for a friend. They wrote a list and said it is their bucket-list," Azhar explained to her.
"It is a list of things or even places to visit before they die. Azhar, you know you can tell me anything. Is something bothering you?"
Azhar wanted to tell his mother who the list belonged to but he didnt want anyone else to know about it.
Especially if it's Zianna's list.
What was Zianna hiding? Was she sick? I need to find out before anything happens to her.
"I promise you, Mamma that I perfectly fine and if I have a problem I will let you and Dad know about it," Azhar assured her. "Now, let's go and have dinner before Dad comes and get me too," he added chuckling knowing that his parents' love was something that he and his siblings always wanted to have in the future.
"Okay, let's go. But your father and Azaan has gone to his business associate's house."
Azhar nodded and his mother walked out of his room leaving him to place the paper in his bedside drawer and walked out of his room.
I need to know what is wrong with you, Zianna. You became the light at the office and I can't let that light go off. Even if I need to break the rules I made.
Meanwhile, Zianna was in her shabby room trying not to break down after what she discovered about her health. She wanted to tell her father about it but all she could think about was how he treated her mother while she was alive.
Zianna didn't hate him but didn't love him either. She felt nothing but emptiness for Hussein. She might have his last name but he wasn't a father to her and will never be.
"Get up now. My mother is calling you," Nour tells her. "And you need to clean this place up before becoming roommates with certain creatures," she added scrunching her nose and she walked out.
Zianna took a deep breath before walking out of her room and into the living room.
"I want you to prepare dinner for my husband's guests. After you are done, leave the kitchen and go back to your room otherwise, you will not have any dinner tonight," Nadia says emphasising the word MY.
"Yes, ma'am. Anything else?"
"Make the best dishes or else..."
Nadia didn't continue what she was saying because, in the corner of her eyes, she saw Tayyal and Hussein walking in.
"You can go," Nadia says to Zianna.
Nadia opposed her son's protection of Zianna in front of Hussein. Despite her awareness that he wouldn't show any concern for her well-being.
