"Get Out Of My Office, Before I Call Security."
We often try to bury our past, but what if it resurfaces in our future? The past will always be exactly where it should be.
With one thing on her mind, she ventured into the building, determined to do whatever it took to win back Azhar. Regardless of what her family or husband did, all she wanted was to have Azhar back in her life.
As soon as she saw Zianna on her desk, a smile formed on her face knowing that the girl would let her in without a second choice.
"Asalam Aleikum, is the attorney in? I have an appointment with him," she says to Zianna smiling.
Zianna looked up to see a beautiful woman but she couldn't help notice how familiar she sounded.
"Waleikum Salaam, can I have your name, please?" Zianna asks her as she opens the appointment book.
"You don't need to know my name. Just show me the way to his office..."
"What are you doing here?..."
A voice interrupts them making both Zianna and her turn around.
"Sir, she says that she has an appointment with you but she refused to give me her name," Zianna quickly tried explaining to Azhar who was unfazed by her.
"Miss. Hussein, I think my uncle needs you in his office. Dont worry about this woman, I will handle it," said Azhar.
Zianna didnt even wait for anything else to happen when she grabbed her tablet and walked towards Uncle Khalid's office.
"Azhar, I am here to accept you..."
"Accept me? Why? Aren't you already married? You have some nerve coming to my office to see me after what you've done to me in the past..."
"I am sorry. How many times do I have to apologize to you so that I could earn your forgiveness?" She asks wiping her tears from her face.
"What I want is for you to disappear and never come back into my life. I have moved on with my life, I have someone that loves me and I love her back..."
"No, that cant be true..."
"Why can't it be true? You threw me away as soon as you picked him over me. Because of money, status and class which you don't have..."
"If you want me to beg you, I will do it..."
"I want you to get out of my office, Before I call security and maybe your husband to come and see how his wife is acting in front of a stranger that she threw away for fame, money and status. Let me guess now you are back because you found out who my grandparents were, right?" He asked surprising her.
She was surprised by his statement. She couldn't even utter another word when Zianna walked back to her desk and found her boss fuming with anger.
"Leave and never disturb us again. I told you that I have moved on with someone much better than you will ever be," Azhar tells her. He grabbed Zianna's hand and pulled her inside the office but before he closed the door. "I will give me five minutes to compose yourself before I call the police and sue you for trespassing on private property," he added closing the door.
This isn't over Azhar. You will come back to me as you were mine before anyone else's.
She composed herself with one thing in her mind, to find the woman who has taken her place in Azhar's life.
Whoever she is no match for me.
Meanwhile, Zianna was dumbfounded by what she just witnessed between her boss and that woman. Whoever she to her boss, it wasn't her business as she was there to work.
"Whatever you saw earlier..."
"It is none of my business, Sir. And you have my word that I will not tell anyone about what just happened. Mr. Khalid wanted you to go to his office to review a file that will be needed for your next case which will be on Tuesday In shaa Allah," Zianna says surprising Azhar with her words."And Sir, could you please let go of my hand," she added looking at him and then at their conjoined hands.
"Okay, get back to work and if that woman ever comes here again, don't call me just call security to escort her out," he says releasing her hand and then opening the door.
Alhamdulilah, that woman was already gone.
I wish I never met her, but it is a lesson that one needs to learn especially about haram relationships. This is what they turn into. But what do I do especially when she will continue showing up here? I know that I have to talk to someone about the situation and I think it is time for that conversation to happen soon In shaa Allah.
When Azhar entered his uncle's office, he saw his parents and Shyra. He remembered that she returned to town primarily because of her late parents' reading.
"Asalam Aleikum, Mamma, Dad and Shyra. How are you doing?"
"Waleikum Salaam alhamdulilag good. We are just waiting for Mr. Xander who was in charge of the reading of the will," his uncle explains. "This is what I wanted to tell you but Zianna said you were with a client, so I just asked her to call you when you are done," he added giving him the file that Zianna told him about.
Here I thought that she would be a tattle tell but I was wrong about her. But in a way, I don't want to break any of the rules that I have given her.
"Okay, Uncle I will go over the file and get back to you," said Azhar smiling.
"And Azhar don't forget to come home early," his mother explained.
"Yes, I will be home early but tell Uncle first to let me go home early," he says with a smile while looking at his uncle who was shaking her head.
Some say the past makes our future, but for me, it's the present that decides what our future will be. Don't allow your past to control your future.
