Months had passed since Y/n's awakening, and in that time, she had grown increasingly close to Alastor. Their playful banter and shared adventures filled the hotel with laughter, and Y/n found comfort in his company. She was discovering more about her abilities and embracing the chaotic charm of the hotel. However, as Y/n spent more time with Alastor, Lucifer couldn't shake the feeling of jealousy that began to bubble beneath the surface. He had always been protective of his sister, and watching her bond with the radio demon stirred feelings he wasn't entirely comfortable with.
One hell sunny afternoon, Y/n and Alastor were in the hotel's courtyard, enjoying a picnic. They were laughing and joking as they shared snacks, completely absorbed in their own little world.
"Just a little more to the left, Y/n! You've got to catch it!" Alastor exclaimed, holding up a floating pastry as it danced around her.
Y/n giggled, reaching out to grab it, but it dodged her hand. "Hey! Stop moving!"
Lucifer, watching from the shadows of the doorway, frowned slightly. The sight of Y/n and Alastor together was both endearing and irritating. He crossed his arms, trying to ignore the knot of envy in his stomach.
Just then, Alastor noticed Lucifer standing there, a sly grin spreading across his face. "Look who's watching us from the shadows! Care to join? We have plenty of snacks!"
Lucifer stepped forward, trying to maintain his composure. "I'm fine. I was just checking on Y/n."
Alastor leaned closer to Y/n, a teasing glint in his eyes. "Oh, don't worry! Y/n and I were just discussing our next big adventure. You know, something a bit more thrilling than... standing around."
Y/n looked between the two, sensing the tension. "What do you mean, Alastor? Are you planning something?"
Alastor shrugged, still grinning. "Just a little friendly mischief! You wouldn't want your big brother to be boring now, would you?"
Lucifer narrowed his eyes playfully. "I can be exciting too, you know."
Alastor chuckled, clearly enjoying the banter. "Oh, of course! But Y/n and I have been having so much fun together. Aren't we practically best friends now?"
Y/n couldn't help but laugh at the back-and-forth. "You two are ridiculous!"
Lucifer's expression softened, but he still felt that familiar twinge of jealousy. "Just remember, Y/n, I'm always here for you too. You don't need to rely solely on Alastor for excitement."
Alastor leaned in closer to Y/n, winking dramatically. "Oh, but why not have both? A little chaos and a little order-what a perfect combination! Plus, I can offer romance and adventure!"
Y/n raised an eyebrow, playing along. "Romance? With you?"
Alastor clasped his hands together, feigning deep sincerity. "Of course! Just imagine you, me, and a grand adventure filled with danger and snacks! What more could a girl want?"
Lucifer crossed his arms, trying to suppress a smile. "I think she might prefer a bit more... dignity."
Alastor, not missing a beat, turned to Y/n with exaggerated charm. "Dignity is overrated! Wouldn't you prefer to be swept off your feet by a dashing radio demon rather than just your angelic brother?"
Y/n giggled, enjoying the banter. "It's true, I might like a little adventure, Alastor. But you can't forget my brother's angelic glow!"
Lucifer feigned offense, clutching his heart dramatically. "Ah, yes! My dazzling angelic glow that keeps the shadows at bay! How could anyone resist?"
Alastor leaned closer to Y/n, raising an eyebrow. "See? He's already stealing the spotlight. But I promise you, my charms will shine even brighter!"
Y/n laughed, reveling in the playful rivalry. "I think I'll take a bit of both! You two make quite the team."
Lucifer rolled his eyes but couldn't hide a small smile. "Just don't forget who your brother is."
Alastor struck a pose, hands on his hips. "Oh, how could she ever forget? The grand and mighty Lucifer! Always watching over us, but let's not forget who brings the fun!"
Y/n clapped her hands in delight. "This is the best! I'm glad to have both of you in my life."
As the sun began to set, the three of them settled down, enjoying the warmth of the moment and the unexpected camaraderie that had formed between them. Despite the playful teasing and the hints of rivalry, Y/n felt a sense of belonging, ready to embrace whatever came next with her brother and the mischievous radio demon by her side.
