Y/n couldn’t stop thinking about Alastor’s confession. It replayed in her mind again and again, the way he had looked at her, the softness in his voice when he spoke. Alastor, the Radio Demon, notorious for his wicked smile and dark humor, had told her he had real feelings for her. She never expected that someone like him would confess such things to her. The thought made her chest tighten, not out of discomfort, but something she wasn’t sure she should be feeling.A crush.
Yes, Y/n had to admit, she had a small crush on Alastor. Ever since they had started spending more time together, she found his quirks endearing. There was something about the way he was both charming and chaotic that drew her in, even though she knew her brother, Lucifer, would never approve. And that was the biggest issue weighing on her mind.
Lucifer didn’t like Alastor.
In fact, he made it very clear how much he distrusted him. His scowl every time Alastor was nearby, his thinly veiled threats, and how he would always try to pull Y/n away from him were obvious signs. Lucifer had always been protective of her, especially now that she was back in his life. He watched over her like a hawk, never letting her out of his sight for too long. The bond they had, though rekindled recently, was strong. Y/n loved her brother deeply, and the thought of going against his wishes sat heavy in her heart.
As she wandered through the hotel, helping Charlie with the day’s tasks, Y/n found herself distracted. Every time she tried to focus on something, Alastor’s confession slipped back into her mind. She knocked over a tray of glasses at one point, causing a loud crash in the dining hall. Charlie rushed over, concerned.
"Are you okay, Aunt Y/n?" Charlie asked, kneeling beside her to help pick up the broken glass.
Y/n blinked, shaking herself out of her thoughts. "Oh, I’m fine! Just...clumsy today, I guess." She forced a smile, but her mind was still elsewhere.
Charlie gave her a curious look but didn’t press further. "Well, if you need a break, feel free to rest. You’ve been helping so much lately."
Y/n nodded, but she knew rest wasn’t the solution. She couldn’t stop thinking about her feelings for Alastor, and what her brother would say if he found out. It felt like she was being torn in two different directions—her growing affection for Alastor and her loyalty to Lucifer.
Later that evening, after most of the hotel had quieted down, Y/n decided she couldn’t keep these feelings bottled up any longer. She needed to talk to Lucifer. She found him in one of the lounges, his usual commanding presence impossible to miss, even when he was simply sitting with a book in hand. He glanced up as she entered.
"Y/n," he greeted warmly, setting the book aside. "Something on your mind?"
Y/n hesitated for a moment. How could she bring this up without causing a fight? She walked over to him and sat down across from him, wringing her hands nervously.
"Lucifer, there’s something I need to talk to you about," she began, her voice soft. "It’s...about Alastor."
At the mention of his name, Lucifer’s expression hardened. "What about him?"
Y/n took a deep breath. "He...he told me that he has feelings for me."
Lucifer’s eyes narrowed. "And?"
"And," Y/n continued, her words tumbling out faster now, "I think I might have feelings for him too, but I know how you feel about him. I don’t want to upset you, but I can’t ignore how I feel either."
Lucifer stood up, his tall frame looming over her as he paced the room. "Y/n, Alastor is dangerous. He’s not someone you should trust, let alone fall for. I’ve seen what he’s capable of. He’s not someone you should be involved with."
Y/n looked down at her hands, her heart sinking. She knew he would react this way. "I understand that, but... I’ve seen a different side of him, Lucifer. He’s not always like that."
Lucifer stopped pacing, turning to face her with a stern look. "I don’t trust him. And I won’t let him hurt you."
Y/n nodded slowly, biting her lip. She wanted to argue, but what could she say? She didn’t know what was going to happen between her and Alastor, but she didn’t want to cause a rift with Lucifer either. It felt like a lose-lose situation.
Before she could respond, that familiar, unsettling feeling started creeping up on her again—the weakness, the cravings. It had been happening more frequently lately, ever since the Redemption Ball. The hunger for angelic blood. But she couldn’t tell anyone. She didn’t want to worry them, especially not Lucifer. Not after everything they had been through.
She stood up quickly, cutting their conversation short. "I need to go. I’ll... I’ll think about everything you said."
Lucifer frowned but nodded, sensing something was off. "Y/n, are you alright?"
"I’m fine," she lied, giving him a quick smile before rushing out of the room.
By the time she made it to her own room, Y/n’s body was trembling. The cravings were getting worse. Her hands shook as she locked the door behind her, leaning against it for support. She couldn’t let anyone see her like this. Not again. She couldn’t bear the thought of hurting someone she cared about.
Her thoughts spiraled as she sank to the floor, gripping her arms tightly. The pain was unbearable, the hunger gnawing at her from the inside. In a desperate attempt to distract herself, she bit down on her own arm, the sharp pain pulling her focus away from the cravings, if only for a moment. Tears welled in her eyes as she rocked back and forth on the floor.
"Don’t let it control you," she whispered to herself, her voice barely audible. "Don’t hurt them..."
Hours passed, and Y/n remained locked in her room, battling the cravings alone. She didn’t call for help, didn’t let anyone see the struggle she was enduring. She couldn’t. She wouldn’t. And as the night dragged on, her only thought was how much longer she could keep this dangerous secret hidden from those she loved.
