Lucifer watched from a distance, a smile creeping onto his face as he admired his sister’s joy. It warmed his heart to see her so happy, even if Alastor’s presence in the room made him uneasy.

As the event began, the music swelled, and the guests tok to the dance floor. Y/n danced with friends, her laughter ringing out like music itself. Lucifer, observing her, couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride. She was radiant.

When it was time for the first official dance, Y/n approached Lucifer with a bright smile. “Dance with me, brother!”

Lucifer took her hand, guiding her onto the floor. As they danced, he twirled her gently, savoring the moment. “You look stunning, Y/n,” he said, his voice warm.

“Thank you! This is the best night ever!” she replied, her eyes sparkling.

However, as the dance came to an end, Y/n’s gaze drifted toward Alastor, who was watching her with an intense gaze from the sidelines. She smiled and beckoned him over.

Lucifer’s heart sank as Alastor approached

Lucifer’s heart sank as Alastor approached. “Well, if it isn’t the Radio Demon himself,” he muttered under his breath, masking his irritation.

Y/n, oblivious to the tension, said excitedly, “Alastor! Would you like to dance with me?”

“Of course,” Alastor replied, a charming smile on his face. He extended his hand, and Y/n took it eagerly.

As they moved to the center of the dance floor, Lucifer’s eyes narrowed. He didn’t want to ruin Y/n’s fun, but the sight of Alastor spinning her around made his stomach churn.

While dancing, Alastor couldn’t take his eyes off Y/n. She looked so elegant, every move filled with grace. He felt his heart race as he spun her and pulled her closer. “You know, Y/n,” he began, his voice low, “you’re more enchanting than I ever imagined.”

Y/n laughed, a little shyly. “You’re just saying that because of the gown!”

“No, really,” Alastor insisted, his gaze locking onto hers. “You have this light about you. It draws everyone in, even someone like me.”

Y/n blushed, unsure how to respond. “Thank you, Alastor. That means a lot.”

As they swayed to the music, Alastor felt an overwhelming urge to confess his feelings. “I’ve enjoyed every moment we’ve spent together. I never thought I’d find someone who makes my world feel… well, brighter.”

Just as Y/n was about to respond, Alastor leaned in, his heart racing. Before she could react, he pressed his lips against hers in a soft, unexpected kiss. Time seemed to freeze around them, the music fading into the background.

Y/n's eyes widened in surprise, but as she felt the warmth of the moment, her surprise melted into something sweet. When Alastor pulled back, he searched her face for a reaction.

Lucifer, watching from the sidelines, felt a rush of protectiveness and irritation. He wanted to intervene but stopped himself, torn between wanting to protect Y/n and allowing her the freedom to make her own choices.

“Alright, that’s enough dancing for now,” Lucifer finally called out, forcing a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Y/n, how about we take a break?”

Y/n looked torn, glancing between her brother and Alastor. “But I was just—”

“I insist,” Lucifer interrupted, his tone firm yet gentle. “We should all take a moment to enjoy the refreshments.”

As Y/n reluctantly stepped away from Alastor, she felt a twinge of disappointment. Alastor’s eyes flickered with a mix of frustration and admiration for Lucifer’s protectiveness.

Lucifer leaned in closer to Alastor as they walked away. “I see what you’re doing, and I won’t let you hurt her.”

Alastor smirked, not backing down. “You underestimate me. I care about her, and I intend to show her that.”

As Alastor returned to his antics, Lucifer couldn’t shake the feeling of unease. The playful teasing had transformed into something deeper, and he knew he needed to keep a close eye on their dynamic.

For now, Y/n seemed blissfully unaware of the growing tension between the two rivals, lost in her own happiness. But as Alastor’s feelings for her intensified, Lucifer realized he’d have to confront not only Alastor but also his own feelings about his sister’s newfound friendship—and the rivalry that was quickly heating up.
