In the past few months, the Cullen's had gotten used to being a pretty permanent presence in their house. Their secret hadn't stayed a secret for very long around you, but they were surprised at how well you'd taken it.

In fact, you were surprised at how well you'd taken the whole thing but to you, Jasper was worth it. The two of you had become good friends when he repeatedly came into the coffee shop where you worked in Port Angeles, and it warmed your heart when he always remembered little things about you.

You'd realised that you had feelings for him quite a while ago, but you were yet to say anything, it wasn't exactly the easiest topic of conversation to approach, so you never had.

Even though you knew of the secret in the Cullen household you didn't know of their gifts and so, unbeknownst to you, Edward had been hearing your thoughts about Jasper every single time you came round.

Initially it didn't bother him as such, he was happy his pseudo brother had someone who cared about him but when he realised that you weren't actually going to say anything he was surprised.

That evening you had convinced everyone to sit and have a movie marathon with you, given that they didn't sleep, and you could psych yourself up on energy drinks you figured you'd be able to give it a pretty good crack.

"Oh, for god's sake," Edward muttered to himself but not quietly enough as everyone's heads turned to him and away from the film.

He glanced over at you where you were sat under Jasper's arm and sighed.

"Just tell him how comfy you are," he stated as he looked directly at the two of you. "And tell him how 'lovely' he smells, please just do it."

Your mouth dropped open at Edward's words and then looked up at Jasper so see a smirk on his face, as Jasper knew just how Edward was knowing what to say.

Without a word to anyone else Jasper stood up, and for a moment you thought he was going to storm out, but he offered you his hand which you took with a confused look on your face.

You allowed him to take you to his room as you left everyone else behind to watch the film, though you doubted they'd be doing that now.

"May I ask why Edward said what he did?" Jasper questioned, watching as you sat down on his bed.

Sighing, you put your head in your hands. "I don't know how he knew, I mean no one else did, no one else seemed to notice and yet Edward did?"

Jasper chuckled, coming to sit down next to you. "Edward has his gift, and he can see into people's minds, so that's how he knew those things."

"Oh god," you groaned into his hands. "This is so embarrassing."

You felt Jasper's hand rubbing small circles on your back. "Why's it embarrassing?"

Looking up at Jasper you were surprised as how non-judgy he seemed. "Because my feelings have just been exposed to you when it's doubtful you don't even feel the same."

"And who said I don't?" he questioned; his hand continued to rub small comforting circles on your back. "Because I can assure you it most definitely wasn't me."

Confusion crossed your face as you looked at Jasper, not quite believing what he was saying, and as you did so he moved his free hand to rest on your cheek.

"I can tell you this now darling, I feel just as you feel."
