-THIRD PERSON-

When Zach heard the noise from the top of the stairs, he hadn't known that everyone else heard it. He assumed it was just him. Kat had heard it as well, but dismissed it as the stairs deteriorating.

"Did you hear that?" Zach asked. Kat nodded and walked over to the stairs. She looked up and saw nothing but a spiral of stairs. What she, or anyone else knew, was that right behind everyone was a demon that had waited for this day. It had followed the guys and listened in on their conversations for months on end. When he heard that they were going to this lighthouse he knew this was his only chance to finally kill the Ghost Adventures Crew. They had visited this demon before, at Bobby Mackeys. Zach still has the scars to prove it. And so does Kat. Kat turns back around to the guys and feels her back start to burn again. It was just like the night she got her back scratched.

"Guys, my back is burning," she says shakily. Zach pulls up the back of her shirt and sees three long claw marks across her back and over her previous scar.

"Aaron pass me the camera," Zach says. Aaron passes it to him and Zach points it to Kat's back.

"See, we haven't even begone the lockdown and we already have activity! This is incredible!" Zach yells. He loves this feeling he gets during investigations. This rush of adrenaline and fear pumping through him. He looks over to the guys and sees that they don't look as exited as him. They look scared actually.

"Do you still want to do the investigation?" Zach asks no one in particular. He hopes that they want to continue, but it may not look like it.

"I don't know man, Kat's already been scratched and it's not even dark yet," Aaron says.

"Don't worry guys, I can handle it," Kat says. In reality Kat wanted to leave right as soon as possible. She was terrified of this lighthouse but she wanted to look good to Zach, no matter hat it took. And Nick could see that. He saw the terror in Kat's eyes. He wanted to protect her like a father would, because that's what he felt like their relationship was like. He felt the need to protect her from things when Shelly wasn't around. He had to protect her and he wasn't doing a very good job.

"Nick, let's go upstairs, Aaron and Kat can stay down here," Zach orders. Aaron wants to stick together, Zach wants to cover more ground. Kat just wants to leave and go home and Nick just wants to protect everyone. No one wants to do the same thing, but no one wants to tell Zach. They don't have the heart to.
