-NICK'S POV-

"Maybe we should wait until nighttime to do the actual investigation." I suggest as Zach walks up the spiral stairs.

"Why would we want to do that?" Zach asks almost laughing.

"Because Kat is hurt and scared and I don't think it's safe to be in here right now. And I don't think we should be splitting up. What if something is trying to split us up so they can get Kat again? Or you?" I argue. Zach turns around and stares me down.

"Why would it want to go after either of us?" He asks angrily. I can tell he's trying to let him have his fun, but I can't let him this time.

"We'll something etched Bobby Mackeys into Kat's back and I don't think it was her! Then it happened again! And if that thing is from Bobby Mackeys, it'll want revenge on you!" I yell. He doesn't even understand how dangerous this is! He's so dense sometimes. He still looks at me Witt anger and confusion in his eyes so I take his arm tightly and drag him back into the kitchen.

"What the hell are you doing? We need to be investigating! Who knows when we'll get this much activity?" He screams.

"We're all going to stick together and that's final!" I yell back. We step into the kitchen and a cold blast of air hits me in the face. Zach and U look at each other then back at the room. Why is it so cold in here? It's at least 80 degrees outside and this place couldn't possibly have air conditioning.

"Kat? Where are you?" Zach yells.

"In the living room," Kat says walking into the kitchen, " what's wrong?"

"Danny Downer over here is worried?" Zach says pointing his thumb at me.

"I just feel Ike we should stick together I this situation," I say. Kat notices the worry I'm my voice.

"Okay, we'll stick together, but only until the actual investigation starts, okay?" Kat says reassuringly. I still think that we should all stick together, but I feel a little more comfortable with this idea.

"Alright, but when we split up you're staying with me," I demand. Kat nods her head.

"So did you guys find anything?" Zach asks.

"Yeah. We got an EVP telling us to jump and one that whispered something that we can't make out," Aaron says. He takes out a recorder and we all huddle together to hear it. I hear a faint whisper but can't seem to understand what it's saying. Zach, on the other hand, seems to hear something significant. He steps back for us with terror in his eyes.

"Are you okay dude?" Aaron asks.

" Trinity mark," Zach mumbles.

"What?" I ask.

"It said 'trinity mark'. It's talking about that scar I have," Zach says staring at the ground.
