The other gods were surprised by the boon which Lord Shiva gave to dev.
As they could see how great dev has become, other gods decided to give different kinds of powers as a blessing to dev.
Many gods together gave different powers like wind , fire , water, etc.
All of them Summoned in Front of him and gave him a boon of different powers !

Dev was feeling immortal at this point, and that thinking of him was true because he became immortal by all these kinds of different powers.
However, Lord Shiva didn't like it, he never saw dev as immortal from his side and he never wanted to, and that's why he sent Lord Vishnu To Have Chat with him.

The Trishul was not the only weapon which Shiva gave him, but there is also something else he gave with Trishul.
This was known as Ma-ni, Shiva gifted this to dev when he gave him that Trishul.
Ma-ni Works as a second heart, as dev wanted to become immortal it was not possible for Shiva to make him that, but beside that he gave him this Ma-ni.
Shiva gave him Ma-ni so that if dev even dies, his second heart starts working and he comes to life again.
But when other gods blessed him with different powers, he became immortal and cannot be defeated by anyone.
