Pop the bubble

The next 3 weeks were better they got Tilly into a solid routine and that helped. Let's get to auntie Angela's birthday she said dressing her 7 week old. Kissing her she cooed.
Smiling at her daughter she gently placed her in her car seat.
Tim came up behind her kissed her head. Lucy smiled ready she asked. Smiling he looked at his daughter in the car seat she looks gorgeous he said ange got her this Lucy said pointing to her flower dungarees and pink T-shirt. Tim chuckled I think she's so excited we had a girl. Lucy raised her eyebrows and laughed.
The left for Angela's. As they parked up Tim got Tilly out of the car seat and Lucy put the sling on he handed her over. Lucy slipped her in. As they walked up the path Tim bent his head down and kissed her lips.
Oooh it's the tiny one hi said a voice Lucy turned and Nyla was behind her. Hi little one she said stroking Tilly's head. Lucy smiled hugging her friend.
They all walked in Angela beaming.

The guys were outside so how's fatherhood Wes asked Tim smiled honestly the best and my god she's definitely got the Bradford genes. How's Luce coping with it all James asked. Tim moved his head side to side the beginning was hard like Tilly didn't sleep it was exhausting Lucy missed a phone call from jasper and she couldn't get hold of him after so that threw her but now she's a pro.
In the kitchen the girls were chatting.
Luce motherhood suits you smiling Lucy looked down at her daughter. She's a little gem really apart from the fact she doesn't fucking sleep at night
Taking her out of the sling and offering her to Angela she smiled ooh gimme she said her arms reaching out oh my god is this the outfit Wes and I got her. Lucy nodded the women cooed around Tilly Lucy went to get some food Tim came up to his arm wrapping around her waist she smiled leaning in to him.
The pair settled down on the sofa everyone was besotted with Tilly hard life being adored ey Tills Tim said.
Truth be told they had been in such a bubble they hadn't seen much of their friends
Nyla cuddled her she's so tiny Luce I love her name too she said holding the little girls hand. How did you guys name her she asked
We had no name planned we just thought we would see what she suits when she's born Lucy said. Tim started when Lucy's waters broke and we were driving in to the hospital safe to say both of us were scared shitless and I turned on the radio Matilda by Harry styles was playing. When she was born it just fit. Lucy smiled at the whole story. Olivia means peace and she just is our peace in the world.
She's so mellow Nyla said. Lucy laughed yeah come to ours at 2am you won't be saying it then. She's got a good pair of lungs on her Lucy said laughing.
After another 30 minutes of chatting Lucy went to the toilet.
Tilly started fussing still in Nylas arms she giggled did you sense your mummy has gone here go to daddy she said passing her over to Tim who sat so naturally cradling his girl. Tilly settled.
Jesus that never happens he said laughing she only settles with Lucy.
Lucy came back god it's warm today isn't it height of summer her eyes travelled to Tim seeing him cradle their daughter made her feel warm inside.
Angela posed a question shall we do a beach day tomorrow ?
Lucy's eyes lit up Tim put his head on her shoulder she playfully hit him it will be Tilly's first time there she pleaded he nodded smiling alright he said. Angela smiled sensing her friends were keen.

As time went on Lucy walked outside and kissed Tim taking Tilly from his arms. The small infant cuddled in. He watched her walk away she said her goodbyes he did the same. He could tell the day had worn her out and she hadn't socialised in ages plus with the beach he wanted her to rest tonight.

They walked to the car Angela and Nyla watched from the window. They are so cute together Angela Said Nyla nodded and that baby is so adorable.
Tim opened the car door and watched Lucy strap in their daughter and give her a kiss. She got in the front Tim placed his hand on her thigh and smiled. Driving she lent forward turning the radio on Matilda played. Her lips turned into a smile she looked at Tim who smiled back at her. This song will always have a special meaning.

They drove back Lucy's eyes heavy after today's fun. She turned to Tim placing her hand on his cheek he turned you okay he asked. Nodding her head yeah today was good.
