I've seen this thing going around on TikTok where people put books from over the course of their lives that had big old impacts on them. I kind of don't want to say exactly why each book made the but, but there are a few reasons I picked books.
Primarily, the books are ones that had major emotional impacts on me. Ones that I carry around, lines that I still quote.
There are also books that made me think about things in a different way. Maybe I didn't resonate the same way with the characters, but the message is burrowed deep in me.
Finally, I've got the books that stylisitically were extremely informative on my writing. These ones I think are the most obvious ones. Especially for Plight fans lol. But like, narration, word choice, and just generally the craft of books.
Oh also, most books aren't just one either, but that's not the point.
But anyway, I'd love to see if any of you know and love these books like me! Or if you hate them, conversely. And also these are pretty strong recs and I'd be more than happy to chat about them!Oh, and I'd love to see yours! Tagged or not (I've only tagged people that have agreed or generally like tagging, so please don't take this as a sign I'm not interested).
