How do people title there work and create appealing covers?

I'm trying to do an overhaul of my stories, and I can't figure out how to create appealing covers and titles and I find it excessively difficult.

So, I have a clear theme for each series, I think. I just am frustrated. As a Wattpad ancient, I was on here before people really did profile themes. Like, I like the aesthetic idea of them, but I feel like it ruins the tone of each series, you know?

Like, Volatile is about a girl who slowly becomes a serial killer, and does so horrible thing, and receives redemption. And Arcane is about a group of girls who become friends and would go to any lengths to save the others. Their themes are really different, reflected in the brightness of their covers. And Arcane is supposed to feel barren.

I don't know. I guess I'm just ranting because I am, as I mentioned, a Wattpad ancient. I think my covers look good (I'm still working on my apply fic set because they are less thematic and were more place holders). Everyone has sign off gifs, and cute fonts in their bios.

This isn't a pity party because I don't have those. It's mostly because I don't care about them. But also because I feel like I'm missing something. You know, like what if the secret to success is having a theme, and I'm just missing it all along?

I'm not a success chaser. Honestly, I write way ahead. I've finished Pâro and I've finished Sonder ( actually finished Sonder before I published the first chapter). And trust, writing before publishing makes stories better at the expense of having the immediate gratification of comments.

All of this is to say, that though I've been on this app for longer than five years, I still have no idea what I'm doing. I want more Wattpad friends. I want covers that people will click on, but I also want covers that look good together.

Mostly I want to rework them because I want to feel the joy I felt while writing Volatile. And the pain and agony, and everything. I want as many people to fall in love with Leo and Dawn and Michelle and Ella (the main characters of Arcane) as fell in love with Charlie. And I want to not care.

And I want and I want and I want.
