Okay, okay I'm supposed to be writing. But actually, my brain is Perverse fried, so I thought other people would enjoy this little intermission. It was this or update my OC book, and honestly I only have it now because I made it years ago. Like, if I wanted it to be up to date it would take hours to work out and I simply do not have the energy or the time to make that attempt.
ANYWAY.
I have a theory. I think all of my books can be categorized on the AHHH to AWWW to EWW matrix. I've made this up. I considered putting in a WAAAH category, but all of my books are extremely WAAAH, just the degree to which they are WAAAH differs. That's more of a spectrum I think. Also, I was thinking about also including a HAHA, but I'm not funny in writing. My friends (no joke) refer to me as Funny and Correct. In that order. But in writing, I just can't make it happen. So, I made this matrix for my books.
Anyway, here is a peep at them. Added in are some sneak peeks about my next books so enjoy.

As you can see, I am lacking any solid EWWW. I think Perverse is the closest. Plight definitely has Eww vibes. None of my books aren't AHHHH, at least a little bit. I think I would put Defeatism in straight up AWWW if I didn't think a dozen people would comment "THE TUNNELS!" when I tried. It's very AWWW.
The only ones I'm not sure about are Arcane and Deterrent. I think Deterrent has more EWWW than I've indicated here. Honestly, Arcane has some EWWW, but certainly nowhere near as much as any of the other books I've listed here. Maybe Defeatism is a bit EWWW as well, but just because of the pancake griddle haha.

Genuinely, this one was a challenge. Mostly logistically to fit things in place. I think Lowborn should be further up in AWWW, but there wasn't the space. Also, I think Accursed (actually far into that one, surprisingly) is more EWWW maybe, but we will have to see. Volatile might be more AWWW. Volatile is the one I think is placed the best, no doubts in my mind about where that belongs.
Leaning back to trends, obviously there isn't a lot of EWWW in either category, but the EWWW is some of my favourite things. They all feel like passion projects. Like, Perverse doesn't have a lot of readers, Banality is my favourite and one of the worst performing, and so is Depravity which I actually love even if it's definitely not a romance.
Ooh, also here is a bonus. My rule for this was that there had to be at least three published chapters. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had the room. I feel like here I should turn up the sadness. Also credited are cryptidminds, ceaseless-watchr, blythering, and -venusvintage for the worlds that they've created and I've been so happy to play in.
