As Charles lingered by the door, he couldn't resist throwing one last playful jab before heading out. He gave Y/N a warm hug and shot a mischievous glance at Renee. "Alright, Y/N. You seem cool, but I hope you're ready to handle her. Renee's a piece of work, always has been."

Y/N chuckled, playing along and glancing at Renee with a teasing glint in her eye. "Oh, don't worry, I've got plenty of practice dealing with stubborn troublemakers."

Renee shot Charles a pointed glare. "You know, you don't have to keep making me sound impossible, right?"

Charles shrugged with a smirk. "Just setting expectations, sis."

Denise came up next and gave Y/N a motherly hug, her arms warm and comforting. "It was so lovely to meet you, dear. Don't be a stranger now. We're all happy to have you around." She winked between Y/N and Renee, her tone affectionate but subtly hinting at her approval of their connection.

Y/N, flushed and smiling, nodded. "Thank you, Denise. It was really great to meet all of you."

With the door closing behind them, the house quieted. Renee took a deep breath and leaned her forehead against the door for a moment, feeling the weight of everything that had just happened. Her voice was light but laced with amusement as she muttered, "Finally... peace and quiet."

Y/N couldn't help but laugh softly as she walked up behind Renee, wrapping her arms around her waist from behind, resting her chin on Renee's shoulder. "Your family is... something else. They're a lot of fun, though."

Renee smirked, turning in Y/N's embrace so she was facing her. "Oh, sure, they're fun. But they're also ridiculously nosy. You think you've survived their interrogation? Just wait until they really get started."

Y/N raised an eyebrow, a playful grin tugging at her lips. "Oh, I can handle it. Besides, I think you're the real troublemaker here, not them."

Renee feigned shock, placing a hand over her heart. "Me? Trouble? I'm an absolute angel."

Y/N scoffed, narrowing her eyes in disbelief. "An angel, huh? Sure."

The teasing banter between them continued for a moment, but the playful mood slowly shifted as Y/N's expression softened. She gently cupped Renee's face, her hands warm against her skin. "Hey, Renee... I love you."

The sudden change in Y/N's tone made Renee's heart skip a beat, and she found herself leaning into Y/N's touch, her eyes fluttering shut as she savored the feeling. "I love you too," she whispered back, her voice tender and full of emotion.

For a moment, they just stood there, holding onto each other as the world outside seemed to fade away. The air between them felt heavy with unspoken feelings, but neither of them wanted to break the silence just yet.

After a few quiet moments, Y/N gently pulled Renee toward the couch. They sat side by side, Y/N still holding Renee's hand in hers. "There's one thing I need to say," Y/N began softly, her eyes flicking down to their joined hands before looking up into Renee's eyes. "I didn't finish telling you what's been going on in my head."

Renee's curiosity piqued as she tilted her head slightly. "What do you mean?"

Taking a deep breath, Y/N continued, her voice trembling slightly with nerves. "I brought you those blue roses... They have a meaning you know?"

Renee's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "They do?"

Y/N nodded, her gaze never leaving Renee's. "Yeah. Blue roses symbolize mystery, secrecy, and pride. It's everything we've been living with, keeping our relationship hidden, only allowing ourselves to exist in private."

Renee's heart ached at Y/N's words. She reached up to tuck a strand of Y/N's hair behind her ear, her touch soft and gentle. "Y/N... That's beautiful..."

Y/N's voice grew a little stronger as she continued, her determination shining through. "But that's the thing. I don't want that anymore. I don't want to keep hiding. I don't want to keep pretending that what we have isn't the most important thing in my life."

Renee's breath hitched in her throat, her fingers lightly brushing against Y/N's cheek. "You're serious?"

Y/N nodded, her eyes brimming with love. "I've always known. Since the moment we first kissed... I knew I was yours, Renee."

Renee's heart swelled, her chest tightening as the weight of Y/N's confession sank in. She opened her mouth to respond, but before she could, Y/N reached into her purse and pulled out a small box.

Y/N hesitated for a second before she held it out toward Renee, her hands trembling slightly. "I've been holding onto this for a while."

Renee's eyes widened as she gently took the box, her fingers brushing against Y/N's. Slowly, she opened it to reveal two delicate silver necklaces, each adorned with a tiny blue rose pendant.

"They're beautiful," Renee whispered, her voice thick with emotion.

Y/N smiled, reaching out to gently touch one of the necklaces. "The blue roses... they represent everything we've been through. The secrecy... all of it. But I want them to mean something new now."

Renee looked up at Y/N, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. "What do you want them to mean?"

Y/N's voice was soft but full of conviction as she replied, "I want them to mean that I'm yours, officially. No more hiding, no more secrecy. I want to wear this necklace and know that I'm proud of us, of what we have. And I want you to wear it too... because I love you, Renee."

Renee felt the tears finally spill over as she let out a shaky breath. She reached for the second necklace, her hands trembling as she fastened it around her neck. "I don't even know what to say," she whispered, her voice cracking as she gazed at the necklaces in her hand.

Y/N's eyes twinkled mischievously as she grinned and leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a playful, dramatic tone. "Well, you could say no... but then there would be reports of a very hot singer mysteriously disappearing, leaving nothing behind but her beautiful songs and a trail of tears. It would be a tragedy, really."

Renee blinked, caught off guard, and let out a surprised laugh, the tension in her chest easing instantly. "Oh, is that so?" she replied, her smile wide.

Y/N nodded seriously, trying to keep her face straight. "Yup. An absolute heartbreak for the world. People would wonder where I went, and they'd play my songs on repeat, shedding a tear for the artist who vanished into thin air."

Renee giggled, her laughter ringing through the room. She shook her head, leaning in to nudge Y/N's shoulder playfully. "You're ridiculous."

"Or..." Y/N continued with a grin, now softening her voice, "you could say that you want to be my girlfriend, and we could avoid all that drama."

Renee bit her lip, her heart swelling at Y/N's words. "Well," she started, her voice tender but filled with a playful glint, "I guess it would be a shame to lose such a hot singer. So... I think I'd better stick around."

Y/N smiled, her eyes warm and full of love. "Good choice, because I wasn't planning on going anywhere."

Renee leaned in, closing the small distance between them, and kissed Y/N softly, her heart filled with nothing but joy. "I want to be yours. Officially, no more hiding."

Y/N smiled against her lips. "Then it's official."
