Do We Need To Talk About This?

As they drove back from the photoshoot, the excitement of the day began to settle into a quiet tension. Renee glanced at Y/N, who was scrolling through the pictures they'd just taken. She smiled, feeling a warmth in her chest. But a thought hung in the air between them—how would they keep this hidden while promoting the song?

"I think we need to talk about this," Renee finally said, her voice soft but serious.

Y/N looked up, raising an eyebrow. "About the song or about... us?"

Renee let out a small laugh. "Both, actually. I mean, we're not exactly 'official,' but we can't let the world know what's going on either. How do we do all the interviews and promo without giving too much away?"

Y/N tilted her head, thinking. "I think we just play it cool. We don't owe anyone an explanation. We let them speculate, but we keep this—" she gestured between them—"for ourselves until we're ready to figure it out."

Renee nodded, her hand lightly gripping the steering wheel. "Yeah, I guess it makes sense. We're still figuring things out. No need to rush anything or give people something they can twist around."

Y/N smirked, leaning back in her seat. "Exactly. We just tease the fans a little... no confirmations, no denials. Let them wonder."

Renee smiled at that. It was a good plan. They'd keep things private, let everyone guess without giving away the truth. But inside, she couldn't shake the feeling that something big was about to shift between them. She pulled up to Y/N's apartment, the car slowing to a stop.

The silence between them grew heavy, charged with the teasing energy that always danced between them. Renee's eyes locked with Y/N's, and she swore she felt the air between them crackle.

"So," Y/N said, her voice playful, "you're just gonna leave me like this?"

Renee bit her lip, glancing away, trying to hide her smile. "You're the one leaving, baby."

Y/N leaned closer, her breath hot against Renee's neck as she whispered, "For now."

The tension was thick. It would've been so easy to close the distance, to kiss her right there in the car, but neither of them made the move. For pure teasing. Y/N pulled away with a smirk, her hand lingering on Renee's face before she got out of the car.

Renee watched her go, feeling the weight of unsaid words pressing on her chest. She wasn't sure if it was too soon to call this something more, but she knew whatever this was, it was growing.

As Y/N entered her apartment, she pulled out her phone and opened Renee's latest post. A teasing grin crept across her face as she scrolled through the comments, fans already buzzing with excitement and speculation. She wasn't going to miss out on the fun.

She tapped on the comment section and typed:

"Hmm... should I spoil it for you guys? 😏🎶"

The notifications exploded within seconds, fans going wild over her playful hint. But she wasn't done. She swiped through her camera roll, picking a specific photo from the shoot—a close-up shot of Renee's hand resting on her waist.

She shared it on her Instagram story with the caption:

"Out soon...🔥"

And with that, she closed her phone, feeling the excitement rush through her. Whatever they had, it was electric, and she couldn't wait to see where it went.

The days flew by in a blur. Between studio sessions, and promoting the song, Renee and Y/N barely had time to themselves. Yet, they still managed to find moments in the chaos—late-night conversations, lazy mornings spent in each other's arms, and quick lunches squeezed between meetings. Every night, they spent together, growing closer with every passing day.
