Y/N and Renee were wandering through the aisles of a construction store, surrounded by shelves filled with wood panels, paint swatches, and tile samples. Y/N holds up two different tiles, trying to imagine which would best fit her unfinished studio. Renee, standing next to her with her hands in her pockets, can't help but smirk.

"You know," Renee teased, "this studio has been unfinished since we first kissed in there. I'm starting to think you just never plan on finishing it."

Y/N rolled her eyes playfully, turning to face her girlfriend with a grin. "Oh, please. If someone hadn't been so irresistibly distracting, maybe I would've had time to finish it."

Renee laughed, leaning against one of the shelves. "So now I'm the one to blame for your procrastination?"

"Absolutely," Y/N shot back with a wink, holding up a wooden plank for consideration. "You've been way too cute for your own good."

As Y/N turned to examine the wood more closely, Renee's phone buzzed in her pocket. She pulled it out and smiled when she saw a message from her producer. It read: Hey, just confirming your club gig at the LA center this weekend. Would love to see what you've been working on!

A lightbulb went off in Renee's mind. She glanced at Y/N, her eyes sparking with excitement. "Baby, I just got an idea."

Y/N raised an eyebrow, setting the wood down. "Oh no, should I be worried?"

"Not at all," Renee said with a grin. "I've got a gig at this club downtown, and I was thinking... what if you performed with me? You know, sing live our song for the first time together."

Y/N's eyes widened, surprise washing over her face. "Wait, you want us to sing together for everyone?"

"Yeah," Renee said, nodding eagerly. "It'll be fun. Just us, together, doing what we love."

Y/N hesitated for a moment, her mind racing. The idea of singing live with Renee both thrilled and terrified her. But the thought of sharing the stage with her girlfriend felt too perfect to pass up.

"You really think it's okay?" Y/N asked, a little unsure but curious.

Renee stepped closer, wrapping her arms around Y/N's waist. "Baby, of course. Besides, I'll be right there with you the whole time. We've got this."

Y/N smiled, her nerves slowly giving way to excitement. "You know what? Let's do it."

Renee's face lit up with pure joy as she kissed Y/N softly on the lips. "That's my girl. This is going to be amazing."

Y/N chuckled, her heart racing with anticipation. "Guess I better finish this studio then, huh?"

"Or," Renee teased, "we could just keep getting distracted."

Y/N laughed, shaking her head as they continued picking out materials for the studio, all the while imagining what it would be like to perform with the woman she loved in front of an audience.

The weekend arrived, and Renee was in her dressing room, adding the finishing touches to her makeup. She was buzzing with excitement, but there was a nervous energy bubbling underneath, too. It wasn't just any performance—this time, she'd be singing with Y/N.

Suddenly, a knock at the door pulled her from her thoughts. Her heart skipped a beat as she called out, "Come in."

The door creaked open, and Y/N stepped inside. Renee's face immediately lit up at the sight of her. She was stunning, wearing an outfit that perfectly balanced edge and elegance. Y/N smiled, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Renee.
