Almost a year had passed since that unforgettable night at the VMAs, and here they were again, Y/N and Renee, walking the red carpet together, hand in hand. They had become the power couple that every magazine, news outlet, and fan was obsessed with, not just for their music but for the love they shared so openly. Tonight, they arrived in matching tailored suits, the kind of sleek and stylish coordination that had become their signature on every red carpet.

As they stepped out of the car, the flash of cameras went off in a frenzy. The world seemed to hold its breath as they posed, first as individuals and then together, Y/N's hand resting gently on Renee's back as they smiled and waved at the crowd. Their outfits were stunning—sharp, elegant black suits with silver accents, subtle but bold enough to make a statement. And their chemistry? It was electric. They didn't need to say a word; the love between them was palpable in every look, every touch, every shared smile.

They made their way down the carpet, and soon they were approached by a familiar face from the entertainment world—an interviewer who had seen them at the last VMAs. The interviewer grinned brightly, clearly excited to have the couple stop by for a chat.

"Well, look who we have here!" she beamed, her microphone held high. "Renee Rapp and Y/N, the couple who has taken over the world not just with their talent but with their love! You two look absolutely stunning tonight, as always."

Renee chuckled softly, her arm slipping around Y/N's waist. "Thank you. We try our best."

The interviewer wasted no time in jumping into the good stuff, her smile turning mischievous. "You know, I remember last year when Renee introduced Y/N as 'the girl everyone was falling in love with.' And look how things turned out—you ended up falling for her yourself!"

Before Renee could respond, Y/N leaned forward slightly, her smile playful as she corrected the interviewer. "Actually, I'm the only one who gets to fall in love with her. Always."

The interviewer laughed, clearly enjoying the banter. "Touché! So, how does it feel to be back here, a year later, as one of the most beloved couples in the industry? You've become a total red carpet staple!"

Renee exchanged a glance with Y/N, her eyes full of warmth and affection. "It feels surreal. So much has changed, but in the best way possible. We've both grown a lot, but one thing that hasn't changed is how lucky I am to have her by my side."

Y/N bumped her lightly, grinning. "Alright, alright, you're making me blush now."

"Good," Renee teased, squeezing Y/N's waist.

The interviewer laughed again, the easy chemistry between them making the conversation flow naturally. "Well, you two have certainly become fashion icons, not to mention couple goals for so many. What's the secret to balancing such a public relationship while staying grounded?"

Y/N raised an eyebrow, thinking for a moment before replying with her usual humor. "Honestly? A lot of takeout and Netflix nights when no one's watching."

Renee laughed, nodding. "And a lot of talking, communication is everything. But mostly, it's just knowing we're in this together."

With a few more lighthearted questions, they wrapped up the interview, waving at the cameras one last time before heading to their seats. They were seated next to Sabrina Carpenter and her fiancé, Barry, who had become incredibly close friends with them over the past year.

"Look who it is!" Sabrina exclaimed, standing up to hug both of them. "Our favorite couple!"

Barry grinned, joining in. "You guys look amazing, as always. Seriously, do you ever have an off night?"

Y/N laughed, hugging them both. "You know we just roll out of bed looking like this."

"Right," Renee added, winking. "All natural, no effort whatsoever."

They all sat down, the atmosphere filled with easy laughter and a shared history that only close friends could understand. Sabrina and Barry had been there for so many important moments in their lives over the past year—late-night hangouts, impromptu jam sessions, and even some of the harder times when the spotlight felt a little too bright.

As they chatted and caught up, it was almost time for Renee to perform. She stood up, ready to head backstage, but Y/N stood up with her, their fingers lacing together in a brief moment of affection.

"You're gonna be amazing," Y/N whispered softly, pressing a kiss to Renee's lips, ignoring the cameras capturing every moment.

Renee smiled, squeezing her hand. "Thanks, baby. I'll see you there."

What Renee didn't know, however, was that Y/N had a surprise planned for her. As Renee disappeared backstage, Y/N made her way behind the scenes as well. She had personally arranged with the producers to introduce Renee's performance tonight, something she had been excited about for weeks.

The lights dimmed, and the buzz of excitement in the room grew as Y/N stepped onto the stage. The crowd erupted into cheers, and she took a deep breath, smiling at the sea of faces before her. She held the microphone with confidence, knowing exactly what she wanted to say.

"Good evening, everyone!" Y/N's voice echoed through the venue. "A year ago, I was sitting backstage, listening to Renee introduce me as 'the girl everyone was falling in love with.' I have to be honest—I can't say that's entirely true now. But what I can say is that I fell in love with one of those girls. And she fell for me."

The audience responded with enthusiastic applause, their excitement building.

Y/N continued, her voice filled with affection and pride. "Tonight, all of you will fall for her too because she's not just any performer. She's the one who stole my heart. And tonight, she's here to blow you away, just like she always does. She's an amazing talent, someone who brings magic to the stage. So, without further ado, please welcome to the stage, the one and only, Renee Rapp!"

The crowd erupted in cheers as Renee took the stage, her face lighting up with surprise and gratitude. She waved to the audience, her eyes meeting Y/N's with a look of deep appreciation.

Renee walked onto the stage, visibly surprised and deeply touched by Y/N's introduction. The audience cheered, and Renee waved to them, her eyes meeting Y/N's with a look of pure love.

The performance was nothing short of spectacular. As Renee sang, Y/N watched from the side of the stage, her heart swelling with pride. The crowd was electric, and Renee's energy was infectious. During the performance, Y/N joined Renee on stage, and together, they sang their song. They exchanged tender touches, their chemistry undeniable. At moments, they knelt in front of each other, their faces close, lost in the connection they shared.

As they reached the final verse, Renee and Y/N moved closer, their eyes locked in an intimate gaze. The song's lyrics resonated with their feelings:

"You caught me by surprise,
When I wasn't even looking,
Didn't see you coming,
Now I'm caught, can't turn away..."

The connection between them was palpable, and just as they finished the last line, Renee leaned in and kissed Y/N right there on stage like every other time they performed. The crowd went wild, their cheers deafening. The kiss was passionate and full of love, a perfect conclusion to their performance.

When they finally pulled away, Renee turned to the audience, her voice filled with joy. "Thank you all so much for your support. specially to this someone very special—Y/N. I wanted to say; every girl could fall in love with her, but now she is mine. Thank you for being here with me tonight, baby."

The audience's applause and cheers were thunderous, affirming the love and support for their public declaration. Renee and Y/N stood together, hand in hand, as the crowd celebrated them. And it would be like that every time they sing together, for a very long time.
