9 MONTHS FLEW by in no time, and i was being driven to the hospital by a frantic jack, in his black jeep, at four in the morning.

luke and quinn were on their way too, a couple cars behind us, as for ellen and jim, they were just waking up now. i don't blame them. who on earth wants to be awake at four o'clock in the morning. especially about to give birth.

we were about fifteen minutes away, when i felt a sharp pain in my stomach, lasting about thirty seconds. i groaned and snapped my eyes shut.

jack put his hand on top of my hand, reassuring me that everything would be okay.

"we're almost there baby, i promise." but he sounded more worried than i did. "just a few more lights."

by the time we arrived at the hospital, another contraction hit me, lasting a few seconds longer and more painful. i was standing up and hunched over in front of jacks car when he quickly put my arm around his shoulder, holding it in place, and the hospital bag slung around his other shoulder.

"jack, it hurts." i was holding my stomach, my eyes pierced shut.

"i know, baby, i know. it's gonna get a little more difficult, but you can do it." we inched our way through the front doors.

"how do you know about all this stuff??" i questioned, furrowing my eyebrows.

he laughed. "i did my research cutie."

i softly smiled. considerate jack.

as we approached the front desk, jack filled out some papers while sucking on a cherry lollipop that the receptionist gave him because he was nervous. i could tell he was trying to distract himself, but his nerves were still showing.

before long, doctors emerged from the doors, and both of us were led into our assigned room. the room was filled with medical equipment and had a calm, sterile atmosphere that contrasted sharply with the whirlwind of emotions we were feeling.

as i prepared for the delivery, jack's brothers arrived and waited in the designated waiting area, eager and anxious to be allowed in as visitors once everything was settled. a little while after quinn and luke arrived, so did jack's parents.

"you're doing great, y/n." jack was holding my hand, smiling.

"jack, i know you're trying to be supportive right now, but i'm gonna need you to crank that up a notch," i said, with an exasperated breath.

he nodded, looking into my eyes and taking a deep breath. "i know this is tough, but you're the strongest person i know. you are capable of anything, and i'm here with you every step of the way. we're in this together, and i believe in you, baby."

i sniffled, tears threatening to drop from my now glossy eyes. "oh my god, now i'm gonna cry. that was the sweetest thing ever."

"no, no, no, don't cry. i didn't mean to make you cry, i was just-" he voiced, getting worried.

"i know, jack. i know." i gave him a soft smile and he gave one back.

after a few more minutes of pushes, our baby was born. hearing him cry for the first time made me feel an overwhelming sense of joy and relief. and jack was right there, holding our baby for the first time after the doctors cleaned him up, tears in his eyes. it was a moment i'll never forget.

after that, the doctors did some routine checks, and then they placed him on my chest for some skin-to-skin contact. it was such a beautiful bonding moment. jack and i were over the moon, showering him with cuddles and love.

"he looks just like you," i told him, smiling as tears fell from my eyes.

he smiled, sniffling. "he does. he's a cute little man and it's only day one."

i laughed.

"he has your nose though." he looked at him and then at me. "it's cute."

i smiled. "i've been thinking about names. i love the name hayes. we could call him hayesy."

jack smiled, rubbing his thumb slowly on our baby's cheek. "hayes. hayesy. i love it."

just a few moments later, quinn, luke, jim, and ellen entered the room, their faces lighting up with joy. ellen, in particular, was beaming with excitement. the room was filled with warmth and happiness as they gathered around to celebrate this precious moment.

"oh my goodness!!" she shouted, throwing her hands into the air. "he's so adorable, my gosh."

"whattt, he looks just like you, bro," quinn commented, as he walked over.

jack smiled, gently picking up hayesy and cradling him in his arms. "i know. it's crazy."

i smiled wide, admiring both of my boys. life couldn't get any better than this because i already have everything i've ever wanted. and that's all i need.
