Keeping that promise of meeting with Utahime and Shoko for drinks you sat across from them.

"What's wrong?" Shoko narrowed her eyes skeptically. She sensed something was off the moment you walked up to the table moments ago.

"There is nothing wrong." You shook your head, replacing your confused look with a soft smile.

"Back me up here, Utahime." Shoko nudged her girlfriend.

"I don't think there is anything wrong." Utahime agreed with you.

You mouthed a thank you towards Utahime and Shoko scoffed. She did not believe you one bit and it wasn't looking good for you.

"Whatever, I'll get it out of you." She waved it off giving you momentary relief. Until you realized this was Shoko, nothing would go past her. If she doesn't mention it later then she will eventually.

"What did you order?" You asked as you noticed the three untouched drinks on the table. Utahime slid the cup towards you.

"Gin and tonic." Shoko grinned as she raised her glass taking a sip.

You groaned and Utahime shook her head as she laughed at your reluctance.

"Utahime, you're not being held hostage are you?"

Shoko glared at you, kicking you underneath the table taking you by surprise. You yelped knocking on the table.

"Unfortunately, she didn't." Utahime pouted.

"If you ever need my help, I'll be here." You jokingly patted Utahime's arm. Shoko sent a glare your way that you waved off.

Your phone chimed in your pocket alerting you. Excusing yourself for a moment, you pulled the phone out of your pants pocket.

Shoko's eyes never left your figure as she watched you look down.

As expected, it was Satoru who messaged you.

It's not like you had a long list of contacts stored in your phone but you doubted he could go so long without talking to you.

You immediately called him, instead of responding to his message. It was clear he had something to say, and you didn't feel like waiting around for a response.

The phone only rang once before he had already picked it up. He must've been waiting around for your response. The thought of that alone made you smile.

"Do you want me to leave you a separate container? I made curry."

"Umm... no, it's okay." You wouldn't mind curry now that he mentioned it but you didn't want him to go through the trouble of packing aside food.

"Is that what was so important that you needed to talk to me?" Satoru could hear the smile in your voice as you spoke.

"I just wanted to be sure."

"I can see that." You teased knowing it was just an excuse to hear your voice.

Taking a pause you sucked in a deep breath. "I'm going to get something to eat here with Shoko and Utahime but thank you, Satoru." You said his name softly.

The line went silent for a moment before Satoru let out a strained 'No problem'.

You waited for a moment longer before reluctantly hanging up the call. Shoving the phone back into your pocket you walked back to the table.

"Who was that?" Shoko asked. You furrowed your brows as you laughed.

"Jeez. You're noisy." Plopping back into your seat, Urahime slid your drink towards you.
