The sound of waves crashing against the shore was the only noise that filled the air as the group enjoyed their first full day on the island. The warmth of the sun, the gentle breeze, and the sheer beauty of the turquoise water made it hard to think about anything but the present. It was almost like being in a bubble—a peaceful, perfect escape from the reality waiting back home.
After a leisurely breakfast on the terrace, Namjoon and Jin decided to take a walk along the beach, leaving Y/N and Hoseok to enjoy some alone time by the pool. The four of them had agreed to spend the day relaxing, enjoying the calm before they had to return to their lives and the façade they would have to maintain.

As Namjoon and Jin strolled along the shore, their hands brushed against each other before Namjoon finally took Jin's hand in his, fingers interlacing. They walked in comfortable silence for a while, the sand warm beneath their feet and the ocean stretching endlessly before them.
Jin glanced up at Namjoon, his eyes soft. "You seem more relaxed."
Namjoon chuckled, squeezing Jin's hand. "It's hard not to be here. It feels like we can actually breathe, you know? I can hold your hand without worrying about who's watching."
Jin smiled faintly, but there was something a little sad in his eyes. "Yeah, I know. It's nice not having to pretend."
They stopped near a rocky outcrop where the waves lapped gently at the shore, and Namjoon pulled Jin into a tight embrace. For a moment, he just held him, their hearts beating in sync as the ocean sang its quiet song. Namjoon knew these moments were fleeting, but that made them all the more precious.
"I hate that we have to go back to pretending," Jin admitted softly, resting his head against Namjoon's chest. "Pretending to be something we're not. Pretending that you're married to her."
Namjoon's arms tightened around Jin, his heart heavy. "I know, Jin. I hate it too. But for now... it's the only way."
Jin sighed, pulling back just enough to look into Namjoon's eyes. "Do you really think we can keep this up? Living with them, pretending that you're in love with her while we hide away like this?"
Namjoon ran a hand through Jin's hair, his expression serious. "I don't know. But I do know that I love you. And as long as we're together, we'll find a way to make it work. I promise."
Jin searched Namjoon's face for a long moment, his heart aching with the weight of their situation. He knew Namjoon meant every word, but the uncertainty of it all gnawed at him. Still, he nodded, leaning up to kiss Namjoon softly.
"I love you too," Jin whispered against Namjoon's lips. "I just wish things were simpler."
Namjoon gave him a sad smile. "Me too."
They stood there for a while longer, the sun casting a golden glow over them as they held each other, both knowing that this peace would be short-lived.
