"Oh, well hello Solaire. This is an odd place to find someone else. You must be an elite knight, to manage on your own to be in this secluded area. I thought of myself to be alone.."
Solaire looked over his shoulder to you. "The way I see it, our fates appear to be intertwined.
In a land brimming with Hollows, could that really be mere chance?"Pinching the top of your nose thinking for a bit. "It is. You are of the faith? Who is it that you praise?" Since in the land faith is of high status providing powers to individuals. Unlike the sorcerers of this land whose magic comes from their knowledge of spells and to cast them.
The Faith is of knights and clerics. Not sacljded to them. One can become of such if their faith is strong. Sacrifices are made in order to obtain such status. Offering provide new forms of power to each individual.
"I praise the Sun!" Solair looked at the sun over the mountains. Removing his helmet you covered your mouth in amazement. Features of no other with a blond pony tale and beautiful eyes.
"The bucket helmet does you no justice. To be hiding such beauty." You said holding the helmet for him.Fully upright his arms extending apart upward with palms facing upwards. Expressing his gratitude and devotion to the sun.
He looked back to you taking his helmet back to out it back on."So, what do you say? Why not help one another on this lonely journey?"
You hummed for a bit and extended your arm out to him. "Hell yeah!" You both fist bumped on it and started off to the journey.
Charging forward to the bridge where the red dragon rested. With only two feet it has no front arms. It's arms were the wings that were wider than itself. A serpent like jaw showing ferocious teeth. Sharp enough to snap any basic armor like yours.
Horn patrides from its head and without a doubt this dragon was intelligent. As most dragon of this land they were more than just lizard beasts. They were once the enemies of the great Lord. Before men it was dragons. Ancient creatures that roamed these lands and skies. But the time for men began and the time for dragons was to be laid to rest. And so the trials of such knights that accended to higher titiles were known as dragon slayers.
But not you. This was beyond your own dreams. To slay a dragon. No.
Taking cover behind the two open areas of the bridge. Solair stepped back extending his arm out back as a beam of bright lightning from his palms extended. The cracking of the bolt echoed through your ears as if it were a storm surging from above.
"Praise the Sun!!" You shouted cheering him on as he shot the lightning bolt to the dragon. The strike cracked and echoed from the impact of the bolt smashing into the scales of the dragon. Scales so strong and thick it was the only armor for this dragon.
Getting up you grabbed his arm pulling him down for cover as the red dragon breathed out fire onto the bridge. Burning the hollowed soldiers. Their souls were collected by you and Solair. "That was close. Almost lost you." You said taking out Zweihander. "Ahh, I have a magnificent plan. I'll distract it and you charge forward to the gate. It's main goal is guarding the entrance to the gate. As I keep him at bay, run girl. Run!"
