The temple was of silver, the murals carved of metals painted beyond beauty.
Lautrec unsheathed his shotels facing the two knights of silver. They held their spears ready for Lautrec. Charging forward, Lautrec engaged them in combat. His agility, endurance and strength for this day to come.
All the shame and hate. All the love and pain.
Bursting through the doors, tossing the head of the decapitated knight beside the eldest sister who prayed to the goddesses statue before her.
"I was the one who planned her marriage." The eldest stood to face Lautrec.
"Why?" Lautrec walked into the temple, his armored boots echoing on the marbled floor of white and silver. "Such a holy place that is to be pure. Sanctuary of Eden, the baring of the great tree whose fruits are to provide substance! Yet, how rotten the fruit is! Tell me why would the tree get rid of the one seed that would have provided much more fruitful savings was casted!"
Lautrec's voice echoed and verberated the walls of the temple.
"It's not the tree that forskaes the flower, but the flower that forsakes the tree. The tree does not shake the flower, but the flowers that shake the tree. Limbs that loose the beauty of what it is. Without the fruits, without the flowers, without the leaves. It's nothing but a stick."
Lautrec looked at the murals seeing the symbolism of their beliefs."Only one of us could achieve greatness. If she would have honorably died by the hands of her husband things would not have been so complicated. She killed him. I had no choice but to send her off to the asylum. Her faith stripped along with her humanity. I brought her back to bless me with the role of Fire keeper and pass on the blessings to me. She refused. She had grown fantasies of finding you traveling the lands in search of more. I couldn't allow it. She would have not forsaken the tree if not for the snake within."
Lautrec stopped Infront of the eldest sister as she based up to his stature and armor carvings.
"You had tarnished her. If you hadn't met my sister and filled her with such foolish dreams she would have met an honorable end. You, Lautrec of Carim caused my sister's hollowing. She awaited for you as she waited for me"
Lautrec was silent as the sound of his hunting breathing could be heard within his helmet. "Who would ever love a nobody? You are nothing and will always be nothing. Your filth was passed to my sister! Her purity tarnished by you!" Her mouth widened as her pupils dilated. "Her love will never be yours." Her hand reached up to his shoulder as she attempted to stand strong.
Raising her other hand to see the red blood. Lautrec held his dagger, keeping it pierced within her abdomen. "I pray for you Lautrec of Carim. I would rather my sister die within the walls of the hollow than to ever be with someone like you." Lautrec forced the dagger deeper into her as she let out a scream holding his shoulders. Her pure white dress was stained with the color of red. "Murder of children, murder of women, murder of families. There is nothing honorable about you."
Lautrec swiped her hand off his shoulder pressing his foot against her body to kick her off his dagger. As she fell back she turned to face the statue of the goddess. Crawling to her for salvation, Lautrec couldn't help but to tilt his head enjoying her squirm and crawl for some kind of sanctuary. Slowly removing his helmet he set it down on the floor calmly crouching down to see how it looked from his angle.
As she reached up chanting a prayer of healing Lautrec raised his shotel hooking her leg dragging her back. Her screams echoed in the temple. "Pray, heal yourself. Our night will be long and endless." The vibrant light circled around her healing her of her wounds and restoration of her health.
Lautrec smiled widely seeing how the color of her cheeks were vibrant. Her tears curved down to her chin. The look of fear in her eyes realizing that she will endure such torture from him until she decides to die.
It was long.
It was endless suffering. She prayed over and over again. As she laid bare beneath the statue of her goddess Lautrec stood over her. Her hair was pulled, blood still covered the floors. The haunting screams of her endless pain and suffering.
"I am Lautrec of Carim. Hear my prayers and bless me!" He mocked her. Lautrec breathed in deeply, stepping on her head raising up his shotel ending her suffering.
