#21: Spending Forever With You

Breena's POV:
"This is the one." I tell my fiancé Hunter with excitement as we walk around our first home. The first one we're buying as a couple. "I agree. It's perfect for us." Hunter replies. We walk in the front yard where the realtor is waiting for our decision. "So? Is this it?!" She asks with an excited smile. "Yes!!!" I squeal. I could already picture how I wanted to decorate the house, and what flowers I'd plant in the front yard. It was perfect. It wasn't long before Hunter and I signed our names on the dotted lines, sealing our agreement, knowing that this was officially our first home.

A month has passed since Hunter and I purchased our house. We are finally getting settled in, adding details in every space to make it feel like ours. "A little to the right." I told Hunter who was hanging a picture of us on the wall. "Here?" He asked, placing the picture in its proper place. I smiled big and gave him a nod of approval. He walked over towards me, pulling my body flush against his. "I love you." He whispered in my ear. "And I love you." I replied, kissing him gently. Hunter plopped on one side of the couch while I got comfortable on the other side, stretching my legs out across his lap. "We should do something to celebrate our first night here." I told him. "Oh yeah? Like what?" He questioned. I smiled, "A picnic in the backyard."

I grabbed the bowl of fruit from the fridge while Hunter set up a blanket on the grass out back. I smiled, putting on my sunglasses before joining him outside. He sat on the blanket, letting me sit in front of him. He let me lean back against his chest. He smiled and kissed my hair gently. In the moment, I felt my entire body relax, realizing how happy I was. I had finally come to the conclusion that Hunter and I could have nights like these for many years to come. He grabbed his guitar. "I wrote you something." He said quietly. "Did you?" I asked, unable to hide the excitement in my voice. Hunter giggled, "Yes I did." He said, beginning to strum a tune on his guitar.

"Everybody's got their someday, dreamed up, mapped out. Gonna find find someway, but no one knows I've been dreaming for a while myself. And looking for my someone else. So soon, this way ..."

"That was amazing baby!" I said, overjoyed that he wrote such a beautiful song for me. "Thank you my love. I am so lucky to have you in my life, and I cannot wait to start forever with you." He confessed whole-heartedly. I felt my heart race, this man never failed to make me feel completely loved, as if I was the only girl in the world. I kissed him, showing him how I felt, without saying the words.

My dream of starting a future with the person I love was finally coming true.
