Late Night Ride (Pezzy x OC)

"What happened are you ok? " pezzy asked concerned while handing me his water. I take it and sip on it enough to get rid of the cough. "No no I'm fine, Skyler just caught me off guard " I say softly and smile a bit.

After awhile the food was done so we all grabbed plates. I make myself a plate quietly while everyone around me was in conversations and eating. As I say back down with pezzy and started eating I noticed a change. Not in anything physical but almost like a change in the wind, an eerie feeling causing the skin on my arms to stand. Pezzy seemed to notice, "are you cold? " he asked while lightly rubbing my arm to warm me up a bit. "No.... Just.... I don't know" I say quietly, unsure and confused as I look around. Something felt really off and it was starting to freak me out a little.

"Hey are you ok? " he asked with concern. "Here hold this" I say passing him my plate while standing and I walk around the yard a little just looking around. The buzzing in my head starting to slowly come back as the feeling gets stronger. Pezzy watches me confused while going and putting our plates on the table they have outside. "Novey what's going on? " he asked which got everyone else's attention. "Some things not right" I whisper to myself. I put my hands on my head trying to think the buzzing is so loud at this point. Whatever is happening, being at what I thought was a safe place isn't helping.

"I... I gotta go" I say and run into the house and straight to his room. I put my shoes on quickly and grab the headphones before running down the stairs and out the front door.

Pezzy sees me and tries to run after me but grizzy stops him. "What's going on with thena? " he asked. Pezzy was slightly freaking out but tried to stay calm. "I... I don't know, she was fine one second and then the next she's acting strange. She just ran out the front door so I'm going after her. It's almost dark out and I don't wanna see her name in the news tomorrow so either come with me or let me go" pezzy said while grabbing his car keys.

"I'm coming with, she's like a sister me I wanna make sure she's safe. " grizzy said. "Count us in" droid said for him and puffer. Pezzy nods and they head out to his car.

Soon they were on the road driving trying to find Athena, and it was proving to be harder than planned. Despite being on foot she was fast, and had a head start. "Can you think of anywhere she might go? " puffer asked. At this point pezzys anxiety was through the roof and then suddenly it was like a light bulb went off in his head. "I know where she's at"

10 minutes later

They were driving down a road next to a big empty field, no houses or cars in sight. Athena found this place while riding and thought it was nice because it was so empty and calm, the field full with flowers. While looking out into the field he spots Athena in the field, head in her hands and like she was talking to herself. He quickly turns off the road and into the field, not caring. He drives close enough to her before parking the car and getting out. He runs over to her, not bothering to wait for the others and immediately hugs her.

Athena's POV

I was crying and yelling at myself trying to figure out what's happening. I'm officially insane. Suddenly I felt arms around me and warmth and a familiar smell. "W-what are you doing here? No no you need to be at home, you weren't supposed to follow me" I cry out. "If you thought I'd just let you run out like that and scare me you are completely wrong" he said while still holding me. The other guys run over to see what's going on. I pull away from him enough to see him. "You don't get it.... Something bad is going to happen. I don't know when and I don't know how but I have this feeling, a sense of dread and fear and the scream.... God the screams! They won't shut up! " I yell and cry out hitting my head trying to them. He grabs my wrists tightly, but not enough to hurt me, stopping me from hurting myself further. "Hey hey hey look at me... Look at me.... " he said sternly "I'm right here with you ok, whatever is happening I am here for you. Now tell me, what is going to happen? " he asked. I sniffle and look at him. "Death... A lot of people are going to die" I say as coherently as possible. "The head phones, why aren't you wearing them they are supposed to help" he said "they aren't working" I tell him. "Whatever this is, it's too strong" I explain.

All while I'm explaining this, grizzy is on his phone looking up something.

I cry as the screams get louder in my head. "It's too much.... It... It makes me just want to scream!" I say. Grizzys eyes widen, "cover your ears" he tells droid and puffer who look at him confused but do as their told. Grizzy runs over to us and grabs the headphone out of my hands. "Thena, listen to me very carefully, we are going to cover our ears, once we do that, you need to scream" he instructed. He pulls pezzy away from me despite pezzy arguing with him. Grizzy ignores his protests and puts the headphones him before covering his own ears. As much as I wanted to argue, I was too distracted. Eventually it all became to much as I run my fingers through my hair almost as if I was going to pull it out. "Scream thena! Scream! " grizzy yelled.

I screamed

The ear piercing scream shattered the windows in the car as all the guys ducked while covering their ears.

It felt like I screamed for an eternity but it only lasted a few seconds. By the time I finished, my head was void of screams and buzzing.

Silence, that's what surrounded us now. I was softly panting while the guys slowly started to stand up after uncovering their ears. Dusting the glass off before looking at me. "What the hell just happened?! " pezzy asked looking between me and grizzy. "Death.... A lot of death just happened" I say.

I wipe my face and look at him. He slowly makes his way over to me. "Are you ok? " he asked while gently taking my face in his hands. I shake my head no a bit as I fight back the urge to cry. "As if I couldn't be anymore of a freak" I whisper. "And I ruined your car, and could have hurt you and your friends.... I'm so... So sorry" I say quietly. "Hey.... I'm fine... We are fine... You are fine... My car can be fixed, it was just the windows. How about we get you back to your place, I'll drop the guys off on the way and then me and you can head to yours" he said and I nod.

After a few minutes of us cleaning the glass out of the car, we all got in and I was between puffer and droid in the back. I somehow managed to fall asleep, exhausted mentally.

The ride to their house was silent, everyone confused, shocked, and a little shaken up by what just went down. "Hey grizzy... " pezzy said quietly to not wake Athena."yeah? " grizzy replied. "How did you know to have her scream? " he asked confused. "Well she explained what she was experiencing. So I googled it and it brought up this... Supposedly... Supernatural being.... The Wailing Woman... Other wise known as The Banshee. They sense death and when death is about to happen they scream as like a warning sign. The worse the casualties, the louder the scream or something like that. I figured, she already has a connection with the dead. Her becoming a Banshee didn't seem far off" grizzy explained. Pezzy stayed silent.

"Hey guys" droid said quietly while looking on his phone, " listen to this, apparently there was a freak accident on the highway just now. 8 vehicle pile up including a charter bus full of high school students and a party bus full of a bridal party. In total, 86 people were dead on scene. More on the way to the hospital. "

Pezzy once again stayed silent and glanced at Athena, who was sleeping with her head on puffers shoulder, through the rear view mirror.
