Late Night Ride (Pezzy x OC)

Ghost Mom

After awhile the edible was hitting, the guys also decided to take one but because their tolerance was higher than mine it didn't effect them as much. I wasn't tripping out or anything, I was relaxed. Droid also joined us after waking up to use the restroom. We were all in the backyard on some blankets just talking and eating some snacks while soft instrumental music was playing from my phone. It was still night time but our eyes had adjusted, plus the sun would start rising soon.

As we were talking I heard some noise by the tree in their backyard. I grab my phone turning the flashlight on and look over there. "Oh god is he back" pezzy asked concerned while slightly irritated because he hates that man. I shake my head no, "hey... Whoevers over there... It's ok to come out we won't hurt you" I say softly. The guys watched me in confusion and concern.

I see a head poke out from behind the tree almost scared. It's a little girl, no older than 5 maybe. "Hey sweetie, are you ok? " I ask getting up and walking over slowly to not scare her. I crouch down to her level and take in her appearance. She was in what looked like a nightgown, holding a stuffed dirty rabbit and judging by the hand marks on her neck I can already guess what happened. This was the worst part about my ability if I was being honest. While yes it sucks to see bloody mangled bodies and evil entities.... Seeing innocent children's spirits, especially the way they died, and trying to help them without traumatizing them. It breaks my heart to see them like this.

"Mommy? " she asked me and looked around a little. "I'm sorry sweetie... Your mommy is going to be gone for a little while. How about you come wait with us for your mommy" I offer and extend my hand out for her. She seemed nervous but takes my hand nonetheless. I slowly walk with her back to the blankets where the guys are. "What's your name? " I ask her as we sit down, still holding her hand though to comfort her. "Awice" she said while looking at the guys scared. "Ok well Alice... I'm Athena, and this is pezzy, droid, grizzy.... They are my friends and will help you like I will help you. Sadly they can't see you like I can but if you want to talk to them let me know ok? " I say and she nods and moves closer to me while hugging my arm. I look at the guys sadly, "she's 5.... God if I ever find the bastard that did this to her" I say quietly.

Pezzy takes my free hand in his to help calm me down. "Maybe you can look after her like you do with Skyler" he suggested. "Yeah you can become like a mom for child spirits... Protect them and if you can, help them move on" droid said. "So I'd be what... A ghost mom? " I ask and they nod. I sigh a bit and look back down at Alice and smile a bit seeing Skyler had joined her by my side and they were quietly playing while she still held my arm. "Someone has to protect you.... " I whisper. I look back at the guys and nod, "but this doesn't mean I'm just gonna go looking for ghost children, if one finds me then I will help them. " I say and rest my head on pezzys shoulder and he rubs my hand lightly.

"Wait if she's ghost mom does that make pezzy ghost dad? " grizzy asked and I giggle. "That's up to him" I say and look up at pezzy, "what do you think? " I ask him. I could see him thinking about it, it was definitely an interesting and hard question. "I think.... I think I'd make a great ghost dad. At least as much as I can be. So yeah, I'll be ghost dad" he said smiling a bit and I nod looking over at Skyler. He looked up from playing and I smile nodding at him. He gasps and gets up running over to pezzy, "I know you can't see me or hear me or even feel me but" he said before throwing himself on pezzy hugging him. Pezzy on the other hand was shocked, he felt something. "Why does it feel like there's something on me, around me even? " he asked.

My eyes widen a bit and Skyler looked at me confused while stepping away from the hug. "Wait it's gone now" pezzy said. "Holy shit" I say. "What? What's going on? " he asked confused. Skyler hugged him again this time a little harder. "It's back now and it's a heavier feeling" pezzy said while looking down questioning what the feeling is. "I know what it is" I say while smiling, still shocked and confused though. "What is it? " he asked looking at me.

"That's Skyler.... He's hugging you and you feel it" I say and his eyes widen a bit. He smiled a bit in disbelief while looking down. "Holy shit" he said, "hey sky... Thank you for the hugs, I wish I could return it but just know I feel it" he said. "Oh trust me he knows" I say while watching the smile on skylers face, he now had two people who he could connect with.
