(I love how cute Jake looks in his Freshmen year, and how Drew looks so cool in this pic)
I close my locker and look for my friend Jake. It takes a while because in high school there are a lot of people (obviously). After 5 minutes, I see Jake and apparently he's hanging out with the Homies. Of course he would. They helped him through his high school years (meaning his freshmen and sophomore year); however, my big brother is in there and they bully a lot.
I tap Jake on the shoulder and he notices me. He gives a smile and says, "I've got to hang out with a friend."
Drew sighs and says, "Let me guess, Carmine?"
"Yeah," Jake says while smiling.
"You know, you can just ditch her and stay with us."
"Carmi's my childhood friend though. If I ditched her, then that would be unfair."
"Whatever but we're the cooler friends."
"Hey but your sister is cute," Henry puts in.
"That's true," Liam said, agreeing.
Drew rolls his eyes and says, "Of course she is. She's the twin of a popular guy; however, she's more freakish than me."
Jake leaves while giggling at where the conversation was going. I then noticed a cerulean blue haired girl with a dark violet haired guy. They seemed to be siblings somehow. Drew takes notice of this and says, "Hey music freaks, what's up?"
"Oh nothing much, just getting away so that we don't get infected by your idiocy," the dark violet haired guy said.
"At least I'm not a freak."
"Look who's talking. You guys are just idiots that just can't use their head because it is stored away somewhere," the teal haired girl said with the same sass.
I sigh and then step in and say, "Drew, shut up and mind your business."
Drew looked at me with so much disinterest. That's how he's like with me. Usually he looks disinterested, but with me it shows more evidently. "Get lost, Carmine."
"No, you just get back to shrinking your brain down until it's gone."
He scowls and just leaves with his two friends. At least Henry is nice. Me and Henry met in our freshmen year. We both like chatting about our favorite animes and anything that we both like. When I turned back to them, the dark violet haired person scowled at me.
"We don't need your help! We can protect ourselves from your twin!" he snarls at me.
I sigh. Sometimes I'm not very appreciated because of my twin.
"Zander, come on. We have practice," the teal haired girl said, putting an arm on his shoulder.
"Alright Hailey, I'm not wasting my breath on her."
They go off as I feel bad. Jake then says, "Hey, they should be thankful. If they're not then they obviously don't see what I see."
I smile and we head to our English class. The teacher was not doing so well at quieting the class down. She then asked Sadie, a scary looking girl (at least people say she looks scary), to quiet the class down.
"Settle down everyone," she says in her raspy voice.
Everyone then shut up. The teacher said that the Music Club needed new members and more info about the auditions. Drew snickered at it with his friends. Poor Jake pretended to too.
"Are we going to face detention, Drew?" the teacher said, glaring a bit.
"No ma'am. Sorry, it just came out unexpectedly," Drew said while keeping his arrogant smirk.
