The meeting with Rahul looms, casting a shadow over my days.

Insecurity creeps in, whispering:

"You're not enough."

"You'll never heal."

I try to shake off the doubts, but they cling to me like a shroud.

One evening, I stare at my reflection, critiquing every flaw.

My dark skin seems dull.

My curves, nonexistent.

My eyes, sunken.

Tears fall, and I crumble.

Mom finds me, wrapped in a blanket of despair.

"Evara, what's wrong?" she asks, concern etched on her face.

"I'm ugly," I whisper. "Inside and out."

Mom's arms envelop me.

"You're beautiful, Evara. Your worth isn't defined by appearance."

But the doubts linger.

Dr. Patel's words echo:

"Forgiveness doesn't erase pain, but it frees you."

Can I forgive Rahul?

Can I forgive myself?

As I drift off to sleep, darkness closes in.

I'm lost in the shadows.
