Chapter 17: The Story of Father and Mother

Kaya sat in the living room of his house, reflecting on everything that had happened. His father was asleep in the bedroom, going through a long recovery after surgery. Kaya's mother had just finished preparing dinner for them, her face looked tired but full of love. Seeing the condition of both his parents, Kaya couldn't hold back the sadness welling up in his heart. He knew how hard life had hit his family, but behind it all, there was love and togetherness that always became their strength.

That night, after dinner, Kaya's mother sat beside him. "Kaya, I know this has been really hard for you," his mother said softly. "But you have to know that we are so proud of you. You've done more than we ever expected, and we couldn't ask for a better child than you." Kaya felt tears welling up in his eyes, but he tried to hold them back. "I just want to help, Mom," he replied in a hoarse voice. "I want us all to live better lives."

Kaya's mother smiled, and for the first time, she began to tell him about her youth, about how she and Kaya's father met. "Your father and I met when we were still young," she said, reminiscing about long-forgotten memories. "He was a construction laborer, always working hard even though he never complained. I worked as a vegetable seller in the market. We didn't have much money, but we had each other."**

Kaya listened attentively, eager to know more about how his parents managed to stay together despite the difficulties. "Your father was a very honest and wise man," his mother continued. "Even though his life was tough, he always tried to do the right thing. When we met, I felt that he was someone I could rely on, someone who would always be there for me, no matter what happened."

Kaya's mother's eyes grew misty, but she kept smiling. "We fell in love because of each other's simplicity," she said with a small smile. "There was no grand drama or fancy romance. Just two people supporting each other, trying to live honestly and work hard. That's what kept us together until now."

Kaya felt warmth in his heart hearing that story. He realized that the strength of his parents' love and togetherness was what had kept his family going all this time, even though life was often full of hardship. "I want to be like them," Kaya thought. "Someone who is strong and doesn't give up easily, even when life isn't fair."

Kaya's mother continued her story, this time with a little more emotion. "One day, your father fell from the building he was working on," she said, referring to the event several years ago that almost cost Kaya's father his life. "It was a very difficult time for us. We almost lost everything, but your father never gave up. He kept fighting to get back on his feet, even though his body was badly injured."**

Kaya remembered how his father had once told him about that accident, about how he felt helpless when he fell and hit the hard ground. "I've never felt that strong," his father had said once. "But then I saw your mother crying beside my bed, and I knew I had to stay alive for her, for you all."

Kaya felt that same strength growing inside him, a strength born from love and responsibility. "I will do anything to protect my family," he thought. "Like my father, I will rise even if life knocks me down."

That night, before going to bed, Kaya went to his father's room. He sat beside the bed, looking at his father's sleeping face. That face was full of lines of exhaustion, signs of years spent working hard for his family. Kaya gently held his father's hand, feeling the warmth and strength he had felt when he was a child.

As he sat there, memories from his childhood suddenly surfaced. He remembered when his father would take him to play in the late afternoon sun, even though he was tired after a full day of work. "My father always taught me never to give up," Kaya thought. "Every time I fell, he was always there to help me get back up. Now it's my turn to be strong for him."

"I will make you proud, Dad," Kaya whispered softly. "I will make sure that everything you've done for us won't be in vain." Although his father didn't wake up, Kaya felt a sense of peace enveloping his heart. He knew he wasn't alone, that he had inherited the strength from both his parents that would help him through whatever lay ahead.

The next day, Kaya felt stronger and more focused than ever. He knew that his journey was still long, but with the support of his family and the strength he had inherited from his parents, he felt ready to face anything. "I will rise, and I will be stronger than before,"** he resolved with renewed determination.

That night, Kaya sat in front of his laptop again. He began planning new steps to start over, both in the world of games and antiques. He realized that he had to start from scratch again, but this time, he would do it with more care and wisdom. "This is not the end, this is a new beginning,"** he thought as he typed out new plans that would lead him and his family toward a better life.

However, amidst the planning, a sense of anxiety began to haunt Kaya. "What if I fail again? What if none of this works?"** he thought. This fear was not something he could easily ignore. But every time that anxiety arose, Kaya remembered his mother's story of his father's resilience. "I can't let this fear stop me," he thought with renewed resolve. "I have to keep moving forward because giving up is not an option."

With that thought, Kaya decided to focus on the small things he could control. He started by updating his sales strategy, looking for ways to increase the value of the antiques he found. He also began to dive deeper into game development, designing more creative and original concepts. "I will start with small steps, and each step will bring me closer to my goal,"** he thought.

Though the doubt still lingered, Kaya knew he couldn't stop now. He had a responsibility to his family, and he wouldn't let them fall back into poverty. "I will do whatever it takes, even if it means starting over,"** his determination grew stronger.

With renewed spirit and focus, Kaya continued his planning late into the night. He knew that tomorrow would bring new challenges, but he also knew that he was ready to face them. "I will rise, and I will be stronger than before,"** he thought once more, before finally closing his eyes and falling asleep peacefully, ready to face the next day with the courage he had inherited from both his parents.
