Rory's heart pounded as she showed Elijah the threatening message.
"We need to increase security," Elijah said, his face grim.
Rory nodded, fear creeping in.
But she refused to back down.
The next day, Rory and Elijah arrived at the courthouse for Raj's testimony.
Jai's lawyers swarmed, their faces snarling with hostility.
Raj took the stand, his voice shaking.
"I made a mistake," Raj admitted. "I helped Jai, thinking it would protect my family."
The courtroom erupted into chaos.
Jai's lawyers attacked Raj's credibility.
But Elijah's calm questioning steadied Raj.
"I saw Jai's true nature," Raj said, his voice firm. "I want to make it right."
The judge's gavel slammed down.
"Enough!"
Rory's hope surged.
But as they left the courthouse, danger lurked.
A black SUV tailgated them.
Elijah floored it.
"Hold on!" Elijah shouted.
Rory's heart raced as they sped through the city.
The SUV gained on them.
Suddenly, Elijah swerved.
The SUV crashed into a lamp post.
Rory breathed a sigh of relief.
But Elijah's face remained grim.
"That was just a warning," Elijah said.
Rory's phone buzzed.
Another threatening message flashed on the screen.
"You'll never win."
Rory's determination hardened.
She wouldn't back down.
As night fell, Rory and Elijah strategized.
Their next move would be crucial.
But Jai's obsession knew no bounds.
