Rory nodded.

Rory's determination hardened.
"We need to stop him."

Elijah's phone records.
Showed frequent calls to Jai.
Rory's world crashed around her.
"Elijah?" Rory whispered.
Elijah's eyes locked onto hers.
"Rory, I—"
"Explain!" Rory demanded.

"I was undercover," Elijah said. "Gathering intel."

"You lied to me."
Elijah stepped forward.
"I did it to protect you."

"Protect me?" Rory spat. "You used me."

"Rory, listen—"
"No!" Rory shouted.
Patel intervened.
"Enough!
We need to focus on stopping Jai."
Rory's heart heavy with distrust.

At an abandoned warehouse.
