Rory's eyes locked onto Elijah's, searching for answers. "What do you mean, Jai's involved in something big?"

Elijah's expression turned grave. "I've been investigating some discrepancies in Blackwood Industries' financial records. It appears Jai's been funneling money into shell companies, possibly for money laundering or worse."

Rory's mind reeled. "But why would Jai risk everything?"

Elijah leaned in, his voice barely above a whisper. "Power, control, and revenge. Jai's obsession with you is just the tip of the iceberg. He's using you to further his own agenda."

Rory felt a chill run down her spine. "What agenda?"

Elijah hesitated, glancing around the room before responding. "I'm not entirely sure, but I suspect it's connected to his father's legacy. Jai's determined to prove himself as the superior Blackwood."

Suddenly, the pieces fell into place. Rory recalled Jai's cryptic comments about his father's business dealings and his own ambitions.

*"Elijah, I think I know what Jai's planning,"* Rory said, her voice trembling.

*"What is it?"* Elijah urged, his eyes intense.

Rory took a deep breath. *"Jai wants to acquire Singh Enterprises, my family's company. He's been manipulating me, using our relationship to gain access to our business secrets."*

Elijah's face darkened. *"That's treason. We need to act fast, Rory. We can't let Jai destroy your family's legacy."*

With Elijah's words, Rory's determination solidified. She was ready to fight back, to protect her family and herself from Jai's web of deceit.

_Rory's Resolve_

"Don't respond," Elijah advised. "Keep him in the dark. We'll use this to our advantage."

Rory nodded, her grip on the phone tightening. "I'm done playing games, Elijah. It's time to take back control."

With newfound resolve, Rory began to gather evidence, sneaking into her family's office under the guise of late-night work. Elijah waited outside, keeping watch.

As she scrolled through financial records, Rory's eyes widened. Transactions between Blackwood Industries and shell companies flashed on the screen, confirming Elijah's suspicions.

"This is it," Rory whispered to herself. "Proof of Jai's deceit."

Elijah nodded, leading Rory through the darkness. They reached the parking garage, where Elijah's car waited.

As they sped away from Singh Enterprises, Rory felt a sense of unease. "Jai will stop at nothing."

Elijah's expression turned grim. "We'll be ready."

Back at Elijah's apartment, they pored over the documents, analyzing transactions and shell companies.

The line went dead.

Elijah's eyes narrowed. "We're getting close. He's scared."

Rory steeled herself. "We won't back down."
