Jungkook (JK) stared out the window, watching the rain dribble down the glass. The silence in the house was suffocating. Lisa (LS), his wife, sat at the dining table, her eyes focused on her cup of tea as if it were the only thing tethering her to reality.“I’m leaving,” Jungkook said abruptly, his voice cold.Lisa didn’t respond. She hadn’t spoken to him in weeks, not after the countless fights, not after the distance between them had turned into a chasm neither of them knew how to cross.“I’m not happy here, Lisa,” Jungkook continued, trying to elicit some reaction. “You don’t make me happy.”At that, Lisa finally looked up, her eyes dull. She didn’t say a word, but the pain was evident in the way her shoulders slumped slightly. Jungkook felt a flicker of guilt, but he shoved it aside.“I’ve found someone else,” he admitted, his tone hard. “Naeun. I married her.”The silence that followed was deafening. Lisa blinked once, twice, and then stood up slowly. She didn’t argue, didn’t scream, didn’t cry. She simply walked away, her steps slow and deliberate, as if she were carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders.Jungkook watched her leave, frustration bubbling up inside him. He had expected something—anything. A fight, a plea, a tear. But Lisa gave him nothing. She had already been swallowed by the void of their broken marriage.
