The morning sun poured into Freen's apartment, illuminating the room in a golden glow. Freen stirred, feeling the warmth of Becky nestled against her. The events of the previous night felt like a beautiful dream, their hearts entwined in a way that made Freen feel invincible. She smiled to herself, her cheeks flushing as memories of their first time together danced in her mind.As they both woke, Freen turned to Becky, who was already looking at her with a soft smile. "Good morning, beautiful," Freen murmured, brushing a lock of hair behind Becky's ear.
"Good morning," Becky replied, her eyes sparkling. "Last night was incredible."
Freen couldn't help but grin, her heart swelling with happiness. "It really was."
They spent the morning wrapped in each other's arms, sharing soft kisses and stolen glances. But eventually, reality set in, and they both knew they had to face the world outside their little bubble.
Later that day, they met up with their friends at a café. As they entered, the atmosphere shifted. Nam, Kate, Noey, and Heng were already there, and as soon as Freen and Becky walked in, their friends' eyes lit up with mischief.
"Look at you two!" Nam teased, wiggling her eyebrows. "You're practically glowing!"
"Seriously, it's like you've both been dipped in sunshine," Kate added, smirking.
Noey, usually the tomboyish one, joined in, grinning from ear to ear. "I think I'm going to need sunglasses to handle this level of brightness!"
Becky's cheeks flushed a bright red, and she shot Freen a playful look, trying to suppress a smile. Freen's own face turned warm, but she felt a surge of happiness at being teased by her friends.
Heng, leaning back in his chair, couldn't resist a chuckle. "You two look like you just fell in love for the first time. Wait, you did, didn't you?"
"Shut up!" Freen exclaimed, laughing as she playfully shoved Heng. "It's not that obvious, is it?"
Becky leaned closer, her voice teasingly low. "I think it's a little obvious."
Their friends erupted into laughter, the teasing only fueling Freen's and Becky's delight. They shared stories, laughter, and an undeniable connection, their friends' lighthearted banter a welcome distraction from the outside world.
After a while, Becky excused herself to meet her best friend, Yuki, for a quick catch-up. Freen felt a slight pang of separation but trusted Becky completely. As she watched Becky leave, she felt a warm flutter in her heart.
Meanwhile, Yuki was waiting at a nearby café, her eyes wide with excitement as Becky approached. "There you are! You're late!" Yuki exclaimed, pulling Becky into a tight hug. "I've missed you so much! Tell me everything!"
As they sat down, Yuki's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "So, what's the scoop? You're glowing! Did you finally get a boyfriend?"
Becky felt her cheeks heat up again. "Well, sort of. I'm actually with Freen now."
"Freen Sarocha Chankimha?" Yuki's mouth dropped open in surprise. "The cold-hearted businesswoman? Wow, I never saw that coming! Spill it—what happened?"
Becky couldn't help but grin, her heart racing as she recounted their first meeting and the romantic dinner that had changed everything. Yuki listened intently, occasionally gasping or squealing in excitement.
"No way! So you're telling me you both..." Yuki wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. "You did it! This is huge, Becky!"
Becky laughed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and joy. "Yeah, it was amazing. I can't believe how lucky I am."
As they chatted, Yuki kept teasing Becky, asking about every detail of her relationship with Freen. "You better not let her get away! She's a total catch!"
Meanwhile, back at the café, Freen was sitting with her friends, but her mind kept wandering to Becky. Just then, Heng approached her, a serious expression on his face.
"Freen, can we talk?" Heng asked, pulling her aside. "It's about Non."
Freen's heart sank at the mention of his name. "What's going on?"
"Non was accused of a rape case while Becky was in England," Heng said, his tone grave. "I didn't want to worry you, but it's serious. The police are investigating, and I think we need to keep an eye on him."
Freen felt a surge of anger and protectiveness wash over her. "What? Why would he do something like that? He's been acting like a creep around Becky!"
"I don't know, but it's important you know. If he tries to get close to Becky again, we need to be prepared. I'll be gathering more information, but I wanted to give you a heads-up," Heng explained.
Freen clenched her fists, her protective instincts kicking in. "I won't let him hurt her. Not now, not ever. We'll keep her safe."
Heng nodded, understanding the fire in Freen's eyes. "We will. Just keep your guard up."
As Freen returned to the table, her mind raced with thoughts of Non and the potential threat he posed to Becky. She resolved to protect what was hers, no matter the cost.
Later that evening, as Freen and Becky reunited, Freen took a deep breath, steeling herself for what lay ahead. She had to tell Becky about the situation with Non—she wouldn't let anything jeopardize their newfound happiness.
As they walked home hand in hand, Freen felt a sense of determination settle over her. No matter what challenges lay ahead, she would face them with Becky by her side.
